today: I worked in the veg garden again - I planted the Drake blueberry bushes. planted the strawberries I have. cleaned up the brick border - I need help with making a straight line
cleaned up all the weeds I pulled the other day. the compost bin for the city is super heavy.
moved some chamomile out of the garden.
the onions look great!
recycled all the pots that came out of the process.

I want to see if I can still find play in the blues salvias that are 1/2 off.

today water
change dog water
put water out for animals
set up fence for dog for when we leave
-----------------
I figured I better make a list for zone 5 a and 5 b and 5 - 3 (next week)
front of house

zone 5A
plant 4 little missy boxwood
plant the Japanese maple
remove the hosta and put it in back
move the Heuchera's (coral bells) near green mountain boxwood
plant the cone flower
plant the lavender
pull any weeds that are popping up
wood chips

zone 5 B
remove weeds and spray if necessary
plant the 3 little lime light hydrangea
buy the little missy boxwood 5 of them
plant the little missy boxwood
plant the lavender
wood chips in that area.
see what else is needed to finish off that area this year

Zone 3
flower bed in front
move most of the rudbeckia to the side of the house (along with Russian sage - taller rudbeckia - milkweed)
weed -
get it under control again
move sedum forward
dead head
wood chips
sawz all the dead viburnum and dig out the root
plant other green mountain
dig up and donate bright eyes

blow area of dirt etc.

yesterday I finished planting the little missy boxwood (4) :D
" " " lavender (7) :D
" " " cone flower (1) :D
moved Huechara (3) :D

watered it all in
added compost and fertilizer as I worked

bought wood chips

today's hope
remove giant hosta as it burns in front
move flagstone for garage area
find the few weeds that are there
add a thin layer of compost
put a thin layer of wood mulch on top

if the rain doesn't come
start working on the other side in front
weed first
then plant the 3 little lime light on that side.

I definitely need to water everything

I have finished 2 areas (for now until weeds come back)

goal today: cut the climbing vines, dig what I can and then spray them. I am not a fan of using chemicals but I have to gain control in this area before planting.

goal: One planting a day.

pick off Japanese beetles.
