What still needs doing in flower garden: wood chips - move roses - plant lilies- put in two more boxwood- buy pale yellow cone flowers - replace the yellow babtisa that died this winter - tie climbing roses to fence - if I can find some obedient plants I will buy 3 - or wild geraniums

couldn't find certain plants and I didn't do any work outside today. I did water but that's it.

heading outside as the rain stopped.

I made a zone list for yard to help with work, planting and weeding.

Monday: zone 1 a/b/c/d - back of garden - woodland and shade garden and on right fruit tree and fruit bed.
Tuesday: zone 2a/b/c flower garden by fence (left), garden gate and little path, veggie garden (on right)
Wednesday: 3 a/b/c/d inside fence area - mostly grass
Thursday: 4 small area with a wild rose
Friday 5 a/b/c/d front area of house
Saturday: 6 grass
Sunday: 7 repairs/painting

water is on a schedule as well

hoping this keeps me current

I sure wish we could grow apples down here. There is something called an Anna apple that grows here but probably not this far south. I think it's not like the apples we're all used to. DH eats a McIntosh every day if I can find them in the store. He doesn't like any of the other kinds. We both hate Delicious, in making them pretty they've taken all the flavor out!

d harmony I have never heard of a Anna Apple but will look it up! I totally agree with you about red/golden delicious - the big one, (around here) in the market now is Honeycrisp apples. I love mcintosh for pies and apple sauce and for eating.

goal: as it is supposed to go up to mid to upper 80's today I will get out in the veggie garden this morning. (I am so late getting things in)

I will replace the sedum today that broke as well

I have tons of cosmos seedlings in the garden (even after weeding) - I think I will let them grow until they are transferable.

okay - see you soon

8-) 1 hour done on weeding in veggie garden - d dog was getting hot so I brought her in
8-) another hour done on weeding, taking out romaine before it bolts, planted four tomato plants - last year I had over 20 - we donated tons of tomatoes but I want what I can control and no more.

green bin went out this evening.
Used loppers to cut a frond to bin.
Most of the plasterboard that fell down has now gone into the regular bin, also on the street..

Its great to see you posting Blessed. And thoughtful about time of day as it gets hot for summer.

Harmony - I just eat delicious. If they are picked riper they have much more taste. I like to see they have a smell, then they are tastier.
Years ago there were apple farmers who would come from their mountain orchard to the farmer's market.
Paddock to customer, ripe picked for immediate selling - delicious.
I'm imagining that's the case for many fruit that suffer from early harvest and long trips around the country.
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

Wednesday is Zone 3: inside the back yard gate. I have a smaller area that is fenced and the rest isn't.
Yesterday I worked in the veg garden until almost 6 pm. (it still has some weeds)
