trying hard to plan ahead for meals for when dd younger comes in. (she is a great cook so she may want to take over and I am okay with that)

italian wedding soup
dd younger loves spanokapita, greek salad (we are not greek)

alsatian egg pancake - french dijon potato salad, cucumber salad.

christmas eve: Fleishnacka, cucumber salad with French family dijon dressing, carrot salad with french dijon vinaigrette and bacon, parsley, fine red onion, green salad, french bread.

Christmas day: appetizers including cut veggies. lovely breakfast of poached eggs on prosciutto and asparagus. funeral potatoes as well (small), fresh fruit,

Swedish meatballs - potatoes, veg, lingonberries, crisp Norwegian or Danish or swedish cracker bread.
left over cold swedish meatballs on an open rye bread or pumpernickel bread - topped with cucumber, lettuce, red onion, little pickles, tomatoes and horseradish.

I might make a kugelhopf without the almonds bc of allergies

blueberry pancakes - she makes wonderful scones... I may get some Devon cream for us.

dd younger also loves donal skehan's spicy butternut squash dish.

soup: lentil make for freezer.
soup tomato homemade soup.
souffle s

Make gingerbread houses.

apples slices dipped in batter and topped with light cinnamon sugar.

today -start using lettuce wraps again for sandwiches.

make homemade tomato soup for the week. -
going to cook the chicken dijon from butcher and make it into 3 ounce packages for the freezer

forgot to buy spinach

tonight: make martha stewarts: egg/goat cheese/zuchinni/leek frittata
salad

toss: my family wanted me to freeze the corn pudding from thanksgiving. no one is going to eat it. I feel guilty and will eat it but Its not something I love - letting it go today. Why we could not just let it go in the first place is correlated to buying guilt - I am sure. "we bought it, made it - it MUST BE KEPT" mentality. singing let it go!

you are so sweet. A lot of the cooking is from my Alsatian family recipes - it's kind of our part of our everyday life.

I also love the science of cooking - I have so so so many failures - lol but I like the experiment. (it's like a big puzzle but with the horrible dishes) lol. I wish I had little cleaning elves (fairies) to Poof wash the dishes and counters right away

My dd and my d grandmother are/were wonderful cooks. It was always around me.
it's like a hobby. My dd younger is so good - she can tell what a dish needs - me: I can only use a recipe.

i am having trouble changing over to cooking for 1 or 2 people and is it worth it for the mess it makes.
