Two of my containers are labeled "scrap basket", Harmony!

They are only different in age. One is from an earlier time and when it filled I started a new one.

A quilt author and blog/quiltsite lady named Bonnie Hunter has a method for strip-cutting large scraps into exact widths and storing same widths together even though they are different lengths. Then when she wants a simple scrap quilt or simple scrap border she has those ready. Neat and space saving.

It works for her because she buys a lot of fabric, and shirts from good will etc to keep a big stash. And she like to make lots of simple quilt tops, many each year.

I am working on a sewing project, got a grey and white and black gemotric print caftian that was too small in the bust cut and ripped seams to add hot pink fabric solid, and green and yellow sunflower print in sleeves, also black and red hot pepper print for border at the bottom, it was midi length. Sleves are ready to hem now. This has been a fun creative project.
