Thank you very much Harriet.

I will try but will have to add and extra ½ inch as well so that it's 18 ½ x 18 ½ inch to make the size square.

Very nice instructions, Harriet. I've run into the same problem at times.

Lynlee, now I'm thinking about the little french maid aprons with nothing much unerneath...ah, no I don't think so. Usually I wear capris or golfing-type shorts in the house with matching knit tops, T's, and we presently have the AC set at 80°.

I miss having pockets sometimes as some of my capris don't have them. I was thinking I should make some of those little aprons with pockets like the nail pouches guys wear, little wrap around strips with like 3 or 4 pockets. They wouldn't be hot and I could at least have my list and Cell phone and Pen with me instead of the rushed hunt several times a day. Gonna think on that.

Whoops, I totally missed the "and a half-inch" part, Lisa!! Should have known! Yes, each additional bit makes it just that much harder. Another possibility would be to fold an oversize square in half once, press, and fold again so that it is in 4ths like a handkerchief, then cut the 2 raw sides so that you have a 9 1/4-inch square, then unfold. It might not be juuuust perfect, though, because of the slight space the folding takes up... ...

Lynlee, are you asking for a link to be placed here to some site you find helpful? That could be put in the "About Creative Home - Links" thread Kathryn posted at the top of the threads list when you first come into The Creative Home forum. I don't think it is locked, so you could probably just add a post to put in your link and say how you think it would be helpful. Or if you'd rather post the link here in this thread now, I will edit it right into Kathryn's thread as another link that's been found helpful.
