Nancy, I only know of tutorials for all-fabric walker bags. But you would think that making them with pockets of granny squares would work and be cute. These 2 have the best photos and explanation of any I know.

This one uses four buttons, so takes button-hole making

This one is very sensible, firm and sturdy - better for a man, maybe

Whoops - wait, here's one that's all crochet, but not Granny Square
http://www.myrecycledbags.com/2007/10/2 ... -tote-bag/
also read that using cotton yarn keeps it from stretching out if heavy things are carried, and that it is the pattern Veterans Hospitals give out for crochet donations.

Harriet thanks for the info. on the movie in the pwyc thread.
And the info. on the bags for walkers.
I was able to write down my ideas last night in my journal and
did up a few sketches too got three pages of ideas!
I love the one made of blue jeans.

I'm going to see what I have for things that can be used from old
purses too clips closures etc.!

Maybe I could even call 'em walker aprons!
Discovered that the book bag can be attatched to this also.

Now to figure out about how to get 'em on a wheel chair.
Got some ideas and found a camo. back pack that just might work!
Use what you have now there's an idea!

I got this link in an email from quiltshops for sales happening in over 200 shops. The links on the page aren't only for quilting but also have other sewing items.

Here is the first block of 3 for the table runner I've been working on today.

Thanks, Indiana! The ones near me are not members but it was fun being reminded that there are shops close enough for day trip "on the way tos" that I've never seen.

Lisa, perfect piecing, perfect intersections.

Not bad for a beginner. It's my first 12" block. It will be set on point with setting triangles and the other 2 blocks.

Thank you for the compliment Harriet.

Lisa that is beautiful! Indiana, thanks for the link. I looked for one thing just for fun. Harriet, that is the cutest little pincushion I've ever seen.

I have some utilitarian things to do, don't know if one would call them creative or not. I need to make some covers for the windshield/window/mirror handle thing we bought. It came with a couple squares with elastic around but they don't really fit. We can't get them on all 4 sides (too small) so I'm going to make a few. Also need to darn some socks. Now there's an old old skill!

Nancy, I'm almost afraid to ask this, but who's going to be using the wheelchair?

Hubby ~ went the thrift shop where we had seen one but it was gone.
We won't give up however.

I've been doing various sizes of walker bags;
I saw some and like the ones big enough for a magazine, notebook, book, & journal.

H. mentioned a smaller one would be good b/c it might get too heavy to pack around.

Different strokes I guess.

Like different ones like diff. size purses I think.
Found a purse handle I'd salvaged glad I ran across it this week.
