Good morning, blessedw2 and Nancy ~
I've been relying on routines and habits all autumn instead of the physical cards. However, holiday prep always makes the calendar go crazy, so I pulled out my box yesterday to help me stay on track.
It's just too hard some days to remember the schedule for chores when my mind is on what needs to be finished before Christmas. Much easier with a good tool like the cards!

goals today:

kitchen cabinets, heavy cleaning - not all done, but did clean a lot and touched up with paint cabinets and trim in kitchen, cleaned kitchen mixer, food processor,
may be driving family member - dh did
change cat litter -dh did
wrap additional presents
set up shelf in 3 season room
hang up other pictures

we called for the rest of our leaves as dh has been sick with a cold and I am working on the house. cheaper than we thought and they did such a nice job.

december 5

what I want to do: christmas shopping
but what needs to be done:

continue in the kitchen - It's amazing what a bit of touch up paint has done in the kitchen
today dd older said she would clean out our fridge and clean the top and the outside of it.
dh is going to clean the top of the stove

I will also ask him to caulk the window after I clean it.

ask dh to take in the shades that need repairing.

Got back on track with my devotional reading my e-book on prayer. Yea feeling successful after listing successfully completed goals of the past few years!

Decided to get back on track with church the one we used to go to has sunday school time to revive the Sunday prep. Card.

Music appreciation day here cranking up the tunes!

I hope you all had a lovely day yesterday - wishing you a special day today!

This week, besides Christmas prep, is going to be a room by room washing floors and general cleaning to get ready for company.
Today: finish the kitchen
Make a menu for the next couple weeks with the goal of making things ahead for Christmas week
laundry

I have 2 put away baskets from the dogs room/laundry and from the kitchen that need action

-I slept late, my family is still asleep, the animals have been fed and I need to start by giving myself some positive talk to get me energized and moving.
-time for coffee and breakfast (getting a plan for dinner)
-one bigger kitchen window and trim cleaned really well, water cooler cleaned, caulked window - why I put that off... it was so fast and now looks so nice
-1/2 the kitchen floor is washed well and some areas beeswaxed as I have some dry spots - wonder why
-kitchen sink and window and sill are lovely and counters by kitchen sink are lovely - all counters cleaned, paintings cleaned

still need to clean stove in and out dh did top, fan, clean dog bowls and thing under the dog bowls, vacuum the other 1/2 of the kitchen floor and wash it. - then I will be done

took a nap

Then I will be done with deep cleaning the kitchen.
