Very happy for you and ddyounger, blessed. Is it possible the stress of AP exams, finals, graduation, grades etc. played a part? If someone did suggest epilepsy, though, there are "ways-of-eating" ideas now that are very good for it.

Nancy, in case it would help with tweaking, here is the old Crock-Pot recipe from the original Rival Crock-Pot cooker book. Mine is so old it's coming apart, lol. But a lot of people must have thought of this recipe as a standard.

3 or 4 cups cooked macaroni

2 cups evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons minced onion
1 egg, beaten (optional)
2 cups cubed cheese (cheddar or processed or 1 cup of each)
2 tablespoons butter

Put all sauce ingredients in Crock-Pot. Stir well. Cover and cook on high 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add coked and drained macaroni. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 6 hours.

For thicker recipe, add a beaten egg to sauce mixture before adding coked macaroni.

I wrote down here from a later printing of this recipe that it said
Recipe may be doubled for a 5-quart crock-pot.
