Feb. Cards 2011

Postby Nancy » Tue Feb 01, 2011 12:20 pm

A new month and some fun cards to focus on!
Do you have a super bowl party to think about?
Got any Valentines activities to prepare for?

For this month's scavanger hunt de-clutering game card I've found that it's fun to look for red and or pink items and things with hearts on them for the Valentine theme.

Guess what color is for next month! :mrgreen:

Super bowl party [This used to be a Jan. card.]
Sun super bowl is a great motivator even if it's just your family.
You to use as a goal for cleaning to get some mojo to accomplish decluttering and house hold chores.
{Even if you do not watch foot ball!}

I hate to admit it, but the idea of company coming does mean that my cards are more likely to be done quickly.

I've noticed the uncomfortable weather means some cards are postponed way too much. One is decluttering/cleaning the car interior. That chore was one recommended for combining with Errand Day by P and P. Lately, I don't want to spend one extra minute outside, especially when I'm also having to run errands. So it can be neglected. I've found that if I take a plastic grocery bag with me to the car, I can get dd to pick up later while I'm putting groceries in the car or something. And if I take a Swiffer dry cloth with me I can get her to dust the dashboard while we're out, too. ;) I put one Swiffer dry cloth into a plastic grocery bag and hang in on the doorknob so that I will remember it as I go to the car.

Great idea Harriet! No kids here to help but I do like to try to pick up trash in the car on my side while hubby is driving I too use a plastic groc. bag.

I have been paying attention to the entrances, living room, and dusting here this week.

blessedw2, we are certainly missing you. In case you miss seeing it in PWYC, both Lynlee and mamapiano are having computer trouble right now, too.

With dd31's family coming in tommorrow, this will be the second of my big-housework-push days. Right now I'm just going over my weekly cards and making sure I am caught up. I'm grateful that when they are complete, I can know my house is in good shape - I don't have to reinvent the wheel, just go by the cards. dd12 has been overwhelmed with homework, but she's helped me some. Really feel it's more important when they come, to be vigilant, because of little hands touching surfaces, etc., and because it's not just a quick visit but several nights here.

Family Breakfast
The Feb. grand parents breakfast is being called a family breakfast this year and they have devided up the alphabet in 1/3rds. so we are hoping that this works better. Last time I was there it was a zoo and so popular school started an hour late for some of the students.
They would like prepaid the $2.oo ahead of time.
