Hate to even think about July, Nancy. DSonIL, DBIL & DSIL will all be coming from FL to stay here -unfortunately we only have room for about 2 extras (which right now are DD#1 & DGD9). We could probably sleep lots more but there'd be no room for guests to move around. This being said DD#1 has reserved a rental camper here for a few days for her, DSonIL & DGD (at $65 weekday & $85 weekend days. Just so DBIL/DSIL can stay here. Our house is far from company ready, nor would I want someone just staying there. I've got stuff pulled out from all over in hopes of being able to finish sorting and packing it. (DD#'s dilemma brought most things to a standstill for the last month). And now I'm just plain tired and feeling very unmotivated.

But step by step I will hopefully be ready.

Events ahead:
June 26 -July 2: DD#1 goes back to FL for her tech team's National competition. (I'll have DGD9 for the week -not always an easy task).

June 27: DSGD17 graduates -I have DGD9 & DGS3 for the night. Alvin & the Chipmunks is playing on the beach so hope it's a nice night so we can go up and sit out.

July 2 - July 6th or 7th : DH going to Ohio for WKA nationals with DS#3 & DGS8.
July 2 - DD#1 returns from FL

July 4-5: Celebrations here for the Fourth -imagine DD#2, DGS14 & DGD13 will most likely be here. (Hoping here that DD#2 doesn't ask me if someone else can come with her. Can I just say NO?)

July 9: DSonIL, DBIL & DSisIL all arrive

July 12: Our Anniversary party -know our kids are supposed to be doing this but as I'm sure you know we will be working to get ready for it. As it is, invitations are being delivered as I type.

July 26: My class reunion 200 miles away -so we're going away for that for a few days.

July 26: DS#1 has told DH that other DGS14 is to arrive (by plane) here for a week. Not sure what's happening there. DH told DS last week that we probably will not even be here. (The best thing here would have been to perhaps have called to make sure it's a good time for him to come for a visit.)

Our 35th wedding ann. is the first.
We are not getting our way.
We have not made plans yet.
I think I'll just get another rose bush.
Already got my new ring around Christmas time.
It's going to be hot for the weekend so I'm dreading that.

Coping with heat it on the list.
4th celebrations.

Get water jugs filled and in to the fridge.
Make iced tea.

Get rehearsal dinner plans going.
And hubby's clothing for wedding next mo. are going on the list.
Only a mo. away.

Dee love that list and that you've done the planning ahead;
that's great.

I'm working on my annual Christmas In July event!

Holy Moly Nancy! Certainly am glad you're around to tell us about it!! My ddad had to go to "diabetic class". He was able to control his by diet, so he was lucky. Apparently he went to the class with a friend and they were a bit rowdy--at 76!!--and got reprimanded by the teacher--said he felt like he was back in grade school!
But seriously, do what you need to so that you'll be around a nice long time.

Well I've finally bought a pack of 3x5's.

Now to put my lists that I've made into some sort of order on the cards.

First though, as all the cards are white (only colour I can get here in SA), I will get hold of my DD10's kokie pens (these are fibre tipped colouring pens) and colour a border all the way around the card to specify whether to do's are either daily, weekly, monthly, etc.

One step further than I was before, at least I think so.

Nancy they won't work for a while until your eyes and body adjust to the lower glucose level.

You may want to pick up a cheap pair of readers at the pharmacy to tide you over until you can use your glasses again.

I don't remember how long I needed to use the readers - I think it was about 4 weeks until they adjusted.
