November 2012 Card file Central

Postby blessedw2 » Thu Nov 01, 2012 9:55 am

Hard to believe that November is here!

What cards are you needing to pull for this month?
Are you working on the HOliday grand plan? What is ahead for you?
What can you add to cards that will make you smile - something for you.
Use the decluttering thread to continually work and clearing your lovely home so you can live in the moment not in the past.
What are your plans for cleaning up after halloween? - For me it is donating the candy before I get into it.
Get rid of the pumpkins before (as Pam and Peggy would say) the pumpkin lies splat on the ground. that is not how we should measure when the holidays are coming.
What are your plans for thanksgiving in the states?

For me: what is something I want to accomplish this month that I can add to my card file: drinking water before meals

Goal: keeping my car tank full of gas - when it reaches above a 1/2 fill it up. (for snow), water in car

Most of all... Happy Fall to all!

 Chickens have been fed on what would be not day light savings time!
H. had a cough so I told him to take the last of the cough drops I need to get some more.
Glad I did a p.m. routine of sorts last night kitchen was at least tolerable today I need to work on the dining room.
Putting away fall decorations this month is on the list as I cook pumpkins to feed chickens & put out Christmas stuff.

I OVER GOALED yesterday on my ability to cook all these dinners - I woke and shopped with the thought off cooking with my dear girls all day and then they wanted to look for a dog for a friend who is a first time dog owner to be. (we went to the shelters (not good for me). The girls started cooking at 6:30/7Pm and I was done but they had gotten up at 1:15 pm so they felt energized :D

I still have to cook all morning some regular meals for her to take back. (AS I BOUGHT ALL THAT FOOD!) in Pam and Peggy's Home for the Holidays CD she mentions how they could go into a fabric store and buy "enough camel fur" to make? (sorry I forgot), for me it is I bought enough food for 30 people to make all these grand meals for my dd to take back to school to proudly share with her room mates (where they would all be blown away by my cooking ability ;) so not my inside of my head thinking but somewhere I think my spirit turned into a bit of a ego thing).

But like always, when this happens, I can't make it through because.
1. I didn't plan because I didn't know it was coming so I OVER goaled
2. We didn't start until I was tired.
3. now my house is filled with surface clutter as always when these things happen. (I have Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome which means someone will come over)
4. I OVER GOALED that I can't possibly get it all done and it stalls me from doing anything.

So I have to get my brain around what I CAN DO (talking my self into it :D ) - breaking it down into workable parts

I so relate with what you said Blessed! Thanks for sharing. Meals for a mo. is a LOT of work I've done it only the two wk plan as I just could not work in the 30 day plan into our buget. Even the two week plan is a lot of work just the chopping up veggies part!

I've been working on the kitchen just in case we have turkey day here but after talking to dson know that it's not his year as I suspected the pressure is off but I have 3/4ths of the spiff done so I know I can finish and we will enjoy the reclaimed spaces!
