blessed, I also thought about you 'cause you like to know when the Holiday Planning thread starts. It's up in Creative Home. Today HGP is starting list week and CEO's plan is starting planning week. OH doesn't get started for nearly 2 months, of course.

My laundry card was messed up for Aug, not because I didn't do the work but because I didn't keep remembering  to record it so I'd know where I was with everything. I'm not nearly as happy over it how that important regular task has been going, so I'm back to being sure to write down on there what I've done.

About bday greetings - watch out for newer ones that say they need more postage. Used to be that phrase in the stamp area only meant one more ounce, 20 cents, very affordable. Now it's the thickness often, which takes more stamps than that. Card manufacturers aren't changing the wording on their envelopes, though. One of our August greeting cards going a distance was a nice one with music, and our postal carrier had to add more postage out of his own pocket!! Thankfully he did, though, and it went off on time without a hitch and we paid him back. He had to explain to us.

what a great thought ... its too hot still for me but planning ahead is a great idea d nancy.

dd younger had a really nice day yesterday!
she is handling the issues and now the school has agreed a change needs to be made
(now we have to see what their plan is - keeping fingers crossed)

today is laundry day (city turned off our water lol)
I am hiring dd older to help me with my August I didn't do
she is very organized and it she will help me file etc.

one hour under my belt... dishes emptied and refilled (still no water)
laundry put away
dejunked dining room
dejunked medicine cabinet and put dishes in a different spot after washing the shelves
dinner is ready
dd older came home and cleaned my kitchen (always nice)

dd younger is dealing with slowness of how things are going re: roommate situation.
so saying my prayers on good things to come.
its' 5:57 and I am tired.

Look at your good self dear Nancy!!! awesome work

Well today so far has been interesting... dd's school has now said she has to move - even though the girl is insisting on the boyfriend sleeping over. They are trying to put it on dd to make the decision to move if she doesn't like the fact the girl will bring the boyfriend in. Wow in a girls dorm that this is acceptable is amazing. I know its a game on their part to take the easiest way out. The school said that the parents are usually not involved in situations as this; another way to get dd to buckle. I am not sure what our next move is. We are giving dd younger advice to say that unless they give her a confirmation of where they would move her not to sign any papers. I might have to drive there. I am wondering why they can't see the safety issue and that the teen following the rules should be affected.
