December in the Card File

Postby Harriet » Fri Dec 05, 2008 9:20 am

The busier we get, the more the cards give us direction and efficiency!
They are the answer to the question: "What should I do next?"
How are your cards working for you this December?

My December extras cards include:

Photograph order -

....CHECK
Greeting cards -
....(stamps bought, cards bought)
Quilt finish
....(on the homestretch)
Tree up
....delegating to ds23
Rest of decorating
Rest of shopping
Wrapping

I'm getting the Morning and Evening dailies done very well.
Got a lot of weeklies in yesterday, including trash day, wood floors, grocery shopping.

hi dear Harriet, great work

I still don't have internet but know I am cheering you as you and dnancy work.
I have been struggling to get all my dailies done, least my weeklies... life has been very busy.
I have a party on sunday... this should be interesting.

my project for my dmom and her siblings was added upon when I found 58 photos of them as babies and young children... I was so tickeled to see my grandmere as a baby and my mom too. so I had them scanned and made copies for everyone and just finished the books yesterday. My dad's is done as well as my brother.

Merry Christmas
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Looking around for Nancy and hoping she is well.

I'm so happy you and I have our projects complete, blessed, as dsil's quilt is hanging as Christmas decor now and ready for him to walk in on the 19th and be surprised. You and I can smile as we do the annual things of Christmas and know there was a meaningful special project we also accomplished this December. I did get a photograph printing order done while you have been "away", 50 of them with average of 3 copies each. But the only ones to be used in 2008 will be those going into cards. Otherwise, for a later date.

December extras cards:

Photograph order -

....CHECK
Greeting cards -
....(stamps bought, cards bought)
Quilt finish
....CHECK
Tree up
....delegating to ds23
Rest of decorating
Rest of shopping
Wrapping

Oh boy I'm jumping up and down. Blessed you are back in the card file. I have missed your posts here.

I kept up with Harriet's posts.

But blessed all wasn't right in the world because you weren't posting here.

Hi, blessed! Ditto what Indiana said.

I'm thinking of Nancy's often-mentioned early-Christmas prep. She would work on Christmas gifts every 25th of the month, for instance.

We don't know if tomorrow will bring enough normalcy to get back into a swing. Dh will go in to work but have the weekend off. Dd10 got several money gifts in lieu of actual presents, and so of course hopes to shop some more soon. Yuck.

But I am really, really, ready for simpler days and the cardfile life.

You two are so wonderful I can't tell you... I needed to hear that today. thank you.
I had the stomach flu all day and night yesterday and feeling a little behind the 8 ball. (wonder where that saying came from?) my home right now is not my home but unstructured mess but I feel like I can start back to square one.

I understand what you mean about going shopping... yuck... I agree dharriet. dd13 wants to go shopping for sale items and return a game she received.

so again waving hello to you dear dear women!!!~~~~~~~ So incredibly grateful for you!

my card file got wet right before Christmas (my weekly cards) so I am going to redo those today and get them back to work. Christmas went by very relaxed and got every thing done. (Christmas party was not that relaxed though, but everyone was so excited by the gift of family pictures... my daunt cried), having the file for Christmas of what needed to be done was a blessing!

so back to work! waving at you all.
it is always a joy to be here with you!
