OMM ~ I have adapted the "3 things stratgedy" for getting the move prep. Stuff. That way I do not get overwhelmed and paralized with imaction. If I can put 3 things in the move prep. Planner each day it gets them off my mind. I can refer back to it if I need a memory jogger, and checking them off gives me a sense of accomplishment, and a record for future use.

I'm for anything that breaks long lists up into just a few at a time. So my opinion of the "threes" is a thumbs-up, Nancy.

Have been trying to cook at home more. So have been using 3 x 5s for recipes a lot more lately. Usually it's a low percentage of my 3 x 5s that are actually used for that. So much easier to magnet a card to the fridge to refer to while cooking, than almost any other written recipe type. High, up out of the way of my mess! Also if I'm tweaking a recipe from a book (which I do a lot now), I can use a card with "my own version so far" as a bookmark there, until I'm satisfied with my best idea of how to make it for my family, and then can forget holding a place in the book, in favor of my own recipe card.

"Easier to focus on the important stuff". That's so important. Would we really give the space and time to these things if we thought it through. Heard similar advice recently about time, too. It was a little depressing, but valuable, I think. It was to ask ourselves when considering an event, if we really would give away those hours to it IF we calculated how many waking hours are left in life, in our opinion, and thought of them as dollars. Once spent, we can't get the dollar-hours back. So does this event/people, really deserve us to "spend" precious time? Would we want our hours back?
