Oct. 2018 Cards

Postby Nancy » Wed Sep 26, 2018 1:56 pm

Getting ready for Oct. Cards I am looking ahead and next week Oct. Begins.
Some planning is in order for us how about you.
What do you have on your schedule for Oct. Plans?
Any costumes to round up and or seam, mend or declutter?
I also like to go through hats, gloves scarves, fabric and other weird clothing that might be used as costumes
Thrift shops love to get them this season.
Is fall decor up and decided on.
Holiday decor decluttered.
Letter to go in cards underway? If you have a yearly planner this might help with info. For that.
Clothing for family pics figured out?

We have a showing great way to start off the month.
I did a review of Sept. Last night and it was helpful.

You know, I never put a letter into greeting cards. I do write short notes. That alone can take up a lot of time. Sometimes I have a photo to put in, but that is time-consuming, too. If I didn't have cousins who mention how much they appreciate getting a photo of our grandchildren, I don't know if I'd keep it up. I'm very proud of the children of course, but you know how it is - everyone always thinks their grandchildren are so wonderful, lol, and others probably aren't really that impressed! It started back when my ddad could be in the photo, too, which was more interesting to everyone.

I'm slipping a little on laundry and need to zero in on that card(s) again.

An addition to the trash-day card is to write the schedule for recycling pick-up, which is every-other-week, so harder to remember.

Nancy, you may want to delete and repost your last post that brought a 2012 thread up.

I saw a display of index cards at Office Depot but was disappointed they didn't have either solid white or graph/grid ones that I might have been interested in. Maybe those were just sold out. Was surprised they had half-size cards with post-it stuff on the back. That was odd - don't know what they would be used for. Also regular 3 x 5 size ones, but meant for marking sections in a notebook. Couldn't figure that out either! Lots of the ones with color on the edges, in a whole lot of colors, so I guess those are popular.
