So important to keep laundry area floors clean because when that stray item falls JUST when you've gotten it fresh from the wash, you NEED to believe it is still clean! Especially a concern for those of us who have laundry in/beside kitchen, I think, although those who have it beside a garage with high-traffic floors might disagree. Also, because I'm "in" a kitchen while doing laundry, I think to myself often how important it is to keep my dryer top clean. I fold on that, and how ridiculous I would feel if I realized I'd folded fresh clothes on a questionable surface.
We have a working dryer again now yea!!! We found that said one free to good home hubby got it running and hooked it up yesterday. I am excited.
We cleaned up under the old dryer, and I moved the washer and swept under where it was. Put a cupboard by the washer to have a spot for sorting laundry and to park the laundry basket. The door opens the right way now too that's been a dream of mine! I'm happier with this set up now it's more functional! I dumped the trash and even got motivated to get to the mending. Did the hand wash and hung it out before the new - to - us dryer was working. Now we have figured out how to get the old one out of the basement. {That's next but not today h. is fishing.}
This is our final round for laundry for 2010. The laundry area will be ready for all those extra holiday washing from quests, tableclothes, napkins, holiday clothes, etc.
