No way am I going out on that porch in these temperatures. Kathryn can hang out clothes in the snow if she wants to. ;)
This spoiled Southerner cannot take this freezing weather!
I try to include the study in this round, b/c it is right off the front door and a very seldom used room. Right now it DESPERATELY needs attention from ddad b/c of the leaky roof and the stain on the ceiling... but... that is not happening this week, I'm sure.
And on these days that dinlaws & other errands take all afternoon, well... I'll just do the best I can and try to keep up with y'all.
Tomorrow is another day.

I did it! I did 2 rounds of decluttering in all my entry spaces.

Focused cleaning:
-- knocked down ceiling cobwebs
-- dusted baseboards
-- dusted all furniture
-- swept
-- wiped up any spots on floor
-- dusted bannisters

It was a spit and a promise, but at least I did it!

After following the Flylady monthly zone plan for so long (and not doing it very well, mind you), it was hard for me to wrap my head around the 11-week Focus plan. BUT -- I got another lightbulb    moment yesterday. Having a longer rotation might give me space to shore up other areas at the same time. We'll see. I'm kind of excited to see if this works for me. :D

Bedrooms, here I come!

Second round same as the first.

Are you finding it easier each time since you are only doing part of the list.

Seems to my like I've been spending some time sweeping entrances daily
this time of year on the patio deck [not porch here] and front steps, carport and walk way
but it does make it look better.

I have gratitudes this round. I am so blessed to have been able to hire painters who just weeks ago cleaned/scraped surfaces and painted both my own front porch and my ddad's (back) screened porch and "front" door. Now my ddad has a brighter, more cheerful place to welcome visitors (who always come to the back!) It sounds strange, but somehow the screened porch seems safer for him, now that the walls are painted bright white again.

Also I have to admit I am grateful to dstepson32 for spraying herbicide on the "rocks side" (inner - paralleling house) of my front walkway. I had been pulling any weeds there on along, and didn't want it sprayed, but then got sick and just couldn't be outside working in the heat and humidity, so his idea was better.

What I want to do this round is clean the 4 windows at my front and back doors inside and out. It will not take a ladder, just a chair should do. The light fixtures could use some attention. Also, I might research natural spider repellents. We don't have big spiders - we have those little ones who make instant, thick webs.
