I found a web site to resize a photo, but I think we're a little small! You can't really see us well. I'll play more later. . .

I think you're a little small too, helia-- but what a nice little-small-looking family you are!

I'm alive. I stayed away from the boards with things I wanted to get accomplished. They are not accomplished. Sometimes life goes that way.

I actually saw over on OH that CEO is retiring. CEO, thank you so much for your service and dedication. You were a lifeline to our little group. I felt teary going to check out the old board, and seeing Cathy's message.

I also saw a post saying you had sent a message to me, Twins. Thank you! There's a long story involving a malfunctioning computer hard drive, a new one with Linux, a missing windows disc for the old drive, a mom who found it, a kid who then... anyway, we just got windows installed on the machine yesterday and will be accessing that e-mail again. Where are your kids going to school? I've wondered about them.

We've been knee deep in the college selection process in these parts. Oh my. Good ol' State U is looking better and better to me. It is a lot to deal with on top of my oldest's killer course load this fall.

My youngest is now in high school. It will be interesting to see his first report card. So far I haven't been impressed with his time management, and I think it will show up. He has really made an effort to get involved, joining cross country which is great.

I'm so glad you decided to join the group again! I was AWOL too, for a while there, but this is another chance to get back in the swing of things, don't you think? The moderators here, have done a great job in contacting everybody and a big thanks goes out from all of us who had dropped the ball.

I'm back from lunch out with dd and BabyAnna. Rebecca and her daddy went to lunch with his folks, so the group was divided up today. Afterwards, we stopped at a cute new book store and I picked up the Little House series for a Christmas present for Rebecca who's 4 now. Her mama is reading the House in the Big Woods to her now, and as this is a tradition that started with me and my mother when I was small and continued with my own dd, it's appropriate that my grand-daughter get the same experience from her mama. I feel very on top of things having bought my first Christmas present as of October 1st! How very un-SHE!

Dh is painting the steps that go down to our sunroom. Hope the cats respect the WET PAINT sign! 8)

Thanks, Indiana. It's good to be home.

A new start is great, Peeper. Great job with the Christmas shopping.

I managed to get an avatar up, but may change it.

Yes, it is good to see you, Gretchen.

Went to the old site and copied my avatar from there to see if I could get it. And there it is! I may go back to my new one for a while as I really like that character.

FYI -when I was trying to post something to Indiana a while ago -after I clicked on submit it went to the 'log-in' screen. Of course when I did there was no longer my post -but in this new village not to worry -I used the back button until my original posting draft came up and copied it and pasted it in a new 'reply'. So (hopefully) when you think you've lost a post -you probably can still retrieve it. That's a bonus!

I noticed that too Dee. When backing up with the arrow keys the information is still there. I have used it as a quick edit too.

Way cool.

I have noticed some names in the memberlist that we haven't seen for a while too. It is good to see the names again.

HI Gretchen!!! Nice to see you again! Yes, the moderators did a great job finding and contacting everybody!! It feels like old times here. :)

I have. .
-switched laundry
-gone to the grocery store
-put away most of the groceries. Dkids helped me carry them into the house and so I'm not sure if they're all in or not.
-picked up the middle school kids: ds, dd11, and dd11's friend
-chatted on the phone w/ close friend here

Next:
-switch laundry
-reclaim the kitchen  which should have been done this morning
-work on putting away laundry
-figure out healthy low-cal snack. I probably won't work out today. I am wearing my skinny jeans today, though. :D They're a little snug but not too bad.

Hi Dee you caught me doing CUOP :D - Woohoo - we can see who is online again.

Ride went very well. We can almost do this in our sleep as DD has lived here many years and we visited her many times when we lived in our stick house.

DH has both TV and internet set up in record time. What a sweetie!!

I had to do some repair on my sink faucet when we got here so I soaked in in vinegar and it is all clean for the month.

Have a few things to put away that ride down the highway on the bed. Then to DD's for dinner.

Catch ya all later.
