I'm getting to the closets, really I am! So far, more pulling out ( ) than cleaning. Cleaning soon.

An in-advance report on living room, because there was a need and I had to put that ahead. Deep-clean of the television corner (and on around walls there) of the LR. This because HRH was able to help me now with time for the cords/computer/peripherals he has there out of the way so I could clean and then organize. So I'm very pleased about that. I don't like to work on this type of thing without his input, because it's so personal to him, how he has things done.

well done d harriet!

my upstairs closet is washed - not painted and the things are still in my bedroom (I already tossed a lot and put some things back)
I emptied it all out as it needed a good clean and declutter.

this coming week: laundry room is put in my card file.

I need to put the blow up mattresses and bedding in the basement.

I've discovered the area behind laundry baskets was needing attention. Usually I don't carry them, but gather from them. I saw that I'd neglected dust at the floors there. Just one of the things you won't think about until rotation. So each basket, it's bottom and surrounding floors are a part of "laundry" focus this round.

I am glad you were able to focus on that laundry area. where do you keep your laundry baskets for your d family. I have one at the top of the stairs that everyone throws their towels - most times.
But I do struggle with other areas. I have too many baskets and I know that is a problem - I have to simplify the way I do laundry.

This week I had planned on emptying my shelves (I use for my additional kitchen supplies and for my cleaning supplies) and washing the shelves and dusting the equipment if needed. I can see I can get rid of a pot - might save it for dd older if she wants it - a heart shaped le Crueset small. I also have a copper pot from d uncle after he died but I don't use.
I know it will take me 2 - 3 x 15 minutes so I should just get it done.

I couldn't focus on last weeks goal until today. I got quit a bit done in the laundry room. I am hoping to continue working on the closet upstairs this week - my storage area will be my focus.

this week focus: (thank you d harriet) outdoors which even with the snow I can do some things to get ahead for this summer.

for me: those items that we play Name that Lump game may come clear after the snow melts - see if there is anything I can put away
go around above ground pool and look for old wasp nests and look on house and get rid of any old nests.
think planting and out door planning.
make reservations at hotel for this summer vacation.
our chairs (rod Iron) need to be painted again this year (last time was when dh had chemo) so it needs work. the lamps need painting too this summer.
the picket fence needs washing (well)

dd younger - I bought her a le crueset large skillet pan - It was $60 off and I thought it would be nice for her when she got older. I never see the le creuset on sale. I have started buying the girls things for their kitchens and pay for them over the year for Christmas presents. one a year. Dd older doesn't cook but wants simple things. Last year I bought the girls the same omelet pan I have that they both love. I know it sounds frivolous but it really is an amazing pan for eggs, crepes, pancakes and everything just slides right out - (not used for frying at all).

I think this year I might start buying quality knives for them. one at a time.

I really want to take the bread making boot camp downtown but to buy this would hurt my budget. I have wanted to take this for at least 4 years. I would love dd younger to come with me as she is more like a chef and I am a home cook. But it is so expensive. It would take 4 months to pay off. (maybe I will look at what they are making and try to work on that here)

I meant to tell about outdoor focus here, too, so thanks for mentioning it blessed. some warming here allowed it.

Have been cleaning up around house, along the walkway and the garden bed that is the most possible for us for some enjoyment in the coming year. Lots of weeding, but weed-eating too. Sweeping, sweeping of walkway. Dumped hanging baskets.

Delighted to find earthworms :) in that bed and even moss in a shady corner. Because one of my worries about this space was that dstepson had sprayed with roundup previously (but we can't remember how long - sigh), finding these happy living mini signs was reassuring. HRH says how can they be there if there is anything wrong... .. even though that's a nice thought, roundup wouldn't have killed either one of those but is still a carcinogen, so it still may take time to believe the roundup is out of the soil. Will build raised beds there, anyway, well above this level with new additions, so that's another safeguard.

I am so happy that you are able to work outside!!! (and so jealous 8-) )
We had the same thing with the spraying (by local landscaping company that we didn't want) = so exciting to find earth worms and moss in the yard again. we are still at the frozen earth crust stage.

enjoy your gardening d harriet!!!
