Ivy sent by email some of her Healthy Habits thoughts.
"DH and I were watching an Alaska wilderness type show a few weeks ago, about a man living off grid without electricity. He had asthma, so he took up the harmonica and his asthma improved! Eventually, I plan to get a harmonica, for the same reason, loving music and studying piano for 11 years, I believe I'll love it.
Also, the winter weather, I find, especially after using anti-bacterial hand cleansers, can cause the hands to dry out more. I find if I pat my hands dry, rather than rub with a towel, it's healthier for the skin. Then, a good hand lotion, after drying hands, is good and healing, too. We can't forget our hands during this cold weather and warmer homes.
Also, keeping hydrated is important in the cold. Fun ways of doing it, while warming up the soul, are hot chocolate, too, or herbal healing teas.
I walked 30 minutes today, dusted 2 bay window blinds, and did about 3 lol. I enjoy doing housework and lol for activity, too. It all counts toward Weight Watchers Activity Points, too."
