RunKitty... Remind me not to write when I'm tired... I should have written 15-20 years OLDER.
Best way to fix find a trainer is to go to gym or crossfit websites and read the reviews. Most places I know of will let you participate with out cost for a class or two.
I am lucky because I had a multitude of friends that were going to Jason's before I joined. He's an easy going guy not a drill Sargent. It took me a while to learn to trust him. I wanted to progress much faster with the weight of my weights but he was kept telling me I wasn't ready. I was strong enough to lift the weights, but my form to do so wasn't right.
It took me a while to be consistent and lift right. Remember I had small strokes in the past and that interfered as well. I wanted immediate results and Jason was persistent in telling me that wasn't going to happen. I was stubborn and didn't want to listen to him, but his ability to help others convinced me to believe him.
This week was a true turning point for me. I had to do 100 Supermans... Lie on your back, shape your body the best you can like a C and rock. Now I can't do all 100 without stopping... Usually 20, rest 15 sec, repeat till I get to 60 and then I can only go 10 at a time till I reach 100... Usually I get muscle spasms along my sides which cause me to rest for a few sec. But this time though I still had to rest some I had no spasms
What I love abt going to this class and what motives me to get out of my warm snugly bed at 3:50 am in the dark is how I feel when I'm there. I don't feel my age and a n my head I am strong and young again. It's that mental experience I've learned to enjoy. Not just the physical.
Wish y'all could join me as well... We'd have a great time
On the scale this morning... Down 2 lbs since Wed and that makes me smile. Eating three meals and two snacks including two pieces of fruit and that makes me smile. Need to put some miles on my Gazelle today for my exercise... Will do that while watching g the football game this afternoon....
