Saturday for the Win!

Postby Twins' Mom » Sat Oct 20, 2018 8:38 am

Lots of sports metaphors are available for us today, with college football in full swing, NFL football tomorrow, baseball World Series starting up this week, and hockey getting started too.

We've been in the zone this week, now we're going for the W!

I'm aiming for a WIN over headache today. Barely slept last night -even after taking 2 t ylenol pm! Did sleep from about 4-6 and then 6:30-8. Dh was gone when I got up.

Offline for the rest of the weekend, possibly longer.
Kathryn, hoping it will be shorter -you'll certainly leave a void when you're not here.

So far it's sunny out there. But that "S" word is in tomorrow's forecast. I'm not happy with that. Not supposed to do that until we're safely south.

DS-A wanted Dh to go to Buffalo tonight to an RIT hockey game. DS is helping coach. But we have tickets @$25 each for the 200 Club at the fire department tonight.

I'm betting that anyone who hasn't already closed up their campers will be out here today, finishing up.

I have a busy Saturday, I guess that's the payoff for a quiet week? We have a bar mitzvah this morning with the luncheon following, and tonight are going to a Broadway play at our local theatre as part of a series they are doing, with dinner out with friends first. I predict a nap in between.

I gotta get going...need to pick up dd this morning also. Don't know if there will be a dog walk this a.m. for dMuffin. Raining.

Yes, we do miss Kathryn!

LOL, bw2, I don't think my "Rocky" suit would be right for the bar mitzvah!

Saturday wins
bed sheets changed. dusted around bed.
washed sheets, K things
yard work - asked young man next door to mow. I got engaged in filling 1.5 wheely bins with sticks etc.
I thought I'd saved a letter box flyer for a garden worker, but haven't found it where I thought it should be.

hugs and prayers to all
Just begin.

Dh just stopped by only to tell me he was afraid our refrigerator might be going on the fritz. Really? Is everything geared for 7 years? He'd called DS-R to see if he might come by to help him pull it out. Figured he'd vacuum the coils and behind it. Just said it ran non-stop for about 4 hours this morning. Hoping he's wrong, wrong, wrong! At any rate, DS can't come. He hurt his shoulder playing hockey last night and can't move it today. Sure he's in for another trip to our friendly orthopedist. Sure he'll tell DS he's getting too 'old' to be doing this sort of thing.

where I stand right now. (what I am looking at 8-) )

last night I made a fancy schmancy dinner which means tons of dishes for me. ;)
which means: clean dishes in the dw to be put away
dirty dishes in the sink to be put in dw and turned on ... later empty
I cleaned all the counters and stove and vacuumed the floor last night (yep I am proud)

I have clean laundry in washer from last night that needs to be dried and dried cleaned laundry in the dryer to be put away.

In other words:
Morning routine including doing an extra load of dishes.
other routines

extra: outdoor work
cook chicken stock for 4 hours and then freeze

wishing you all a great day. timer ready! see you later!
