I can't think of a shortcut but I do know staying organized makes routine things quicker.

DNephew's wedding went perfectly. It was a good experience for DS11 and DD8. DMom stayed 3 hours at the reception and seemed to enjoy the entire experience. I take my hat off to those who put the time, planning, and money into having a big fancy wedding. It isn't my cup of tea but I appreciate the logistics of the millions of details that went into making it happen.

This morning is attending church and then this afternoon DD8 will go to her friend's birthday party. The gift is bought and wrapped....thank you A-river for making it easy by delivering it to our door.

Hi!

I learned that doing laundry first thing in the morning on Saturday and Sunday almost makes the "job" of doing laundry disappear. Turn on the machine and go out and run errands. Come home, move the stuff from the washer to the dryer and before you know it the job is done.

Supper tonight will be ribs in BBQ sauce and scalloped potatoes. Dh still hasn't cooked his asparagus.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Morning...

No worries here about loosing or gaining an hour of sleep and no need to rest clocks
Here as AZ doesn’t celebrate day light savings time. It just makes it a hassle When I need to call my friends and trying to remember the time differences. Now it’s three hours instead of two to call my mom and two hours instead of one to call my son. I’m now one Pacific time instead of Mountain.

My morning is moving smoothly. Need to water my garden first. I am also waiting to hear from my friend to see if we are going to the Salt River to look for wild horses. If not I’m head for Home D to look for a light weight tarp.

Terrible rain storms are predicted for this area on Tuesday and Wednesday, and I need to figure out a way to protect my seedlings. Woke in the early morning thinking about it and decided if I can’t find what I want I’m going to buy two cheap shower liners and hot glue them together. On the other hand I have an old cloth shower curtain that might work. We shall see.

In the meantime I have some laundry to fold and need to think about dinner. I LOVE my new refrigerator!!! I have so much more space with this one since the ice machine was moved from the inside the box part of the fridge to the outside door. Next I’m looking to buy a small gas grill. Don’t want for need the monsters Mose places sell.

LadyM... glad you had a great time at the wedding and your mom enjoyed the reception. Did your darling dd8 get to eat wedding cake???

The temps are still 10* above normal so it looks like it will be in the mid 80’s today.

Waving to y’all... nap if you need to. Special on this morning news said experts say the most efficient and powerful naps which help tor renew you should last around 20 minutes give or take. Any more than that disrupts your night time sleep patterns.

LadyM, so glad the wedding went well. It will be a nice memory for ds and dd. I still remember that the first wedding I attended was my dolder cousin's.

I think I am feeling better this a.m. - only my back and neck hurts from sleeping so much I think. I had weird dreams all day yesterday!

Keeping things quiet today, I told dd I couldn't make it for the Purimschpiel (a play) and I couldn't help with the carnival today at 3 and 4 p.m. Even if I'm better, I'm not chancing passing this around or feeling worse later.

I stayed up way too late last night, and THEN I remembered about the time change and losing an hour. :(
So glad I don't need to go anywhere today. I definitely will take a nap sometime this afternoon.
Currently have clothes in the washer & dryer, and dishes soaking in the sink.
I've been cuop from this week and absorbing wisdom from all of you. :)
I also have another tab open running the livestream from Kitten Academy because it is very relaxing for me to watch.

Reading up on covid19 news. I am so used to library patrons coming in with all kinds of contagious illnesses that the current instructions for avoiding this particular virus are things I'm already doing. I've tried to keep the pantry and household supplies stocked as part of normal winter storm preps, which also applies to cold & flu season.

DH and I went out to lunch yesterday and stopped at a grocery store to pick up a few things. Seemed to be normal crowds for a weekend outing. The only thing that I noticed they were out of was frozen ground turkey, and it just occurred to me that I could have checked their fresh meat refrigerator case for that. Oh well.

It's time to wash a few dishes and make a cup of hot tea. BBL.

Yes to eating the wedding cake! DD8 had about given up on eating cake because they were serving different courses of food with about 30 minutes between them. The cake was the last to be served which happened about 2.5 hours after the 1st course (salad). DD8 and an 8-year-old cousin would eat and then go spend time on the dance floor between courses. DS11 teamed up with a 10-year-old cousin so they kept each other company, but the boys seemed to think the dance floor full of girls was a dangerous place to be and didn't go near it.

We didn't go to church because DH's kidney stone isn't playing nice today. Moving around makes it more painful so DH is being as still as possible.

Went to home d and solved my dilemma ...plastic drop cloth from the paint department. Sometime I even surprise my self :D. And I have plenty of BIG rocks to hold it down. I see another tough workout in my future. Good for my muscles. Plus after the storms I’ve got to put those rocks back where they came from :D

Happy International Women's Day
Happy springing forward day

I didn't spring as far as alarm clock, but it didn't matter since I had no super early deadline. I had to head home because I'd missed bringing the check for the speaker. Missed part of his sermon but just as well since I am uncomfortable with some of his beliefs.

The children's message went well - lots of interaction. The whole morning went reasonably well. There was a meeting I thought I'd be needed for but it turned out there were no financial questions, so I scooted home early.

Its the first Sunday dd has missed church in months. Everyone petitions her for time off now that it's the spring break, so she is covering shifts some part of most days.

Deep into exams. Lots to think/write about. The bar of window icons at top of my computer screen looks like it must be a mistake. Well, it probably is :? but hopefully I can get away with it for a short time.

Twins', I hope keeping it quiet works as a get-well strategy. Sounds smart.

better post - this was already interrupted and sat a while!
