We are ordering Indian food for tonight.

Cold here, but no snow. Overcast again.

"Alexa, set an alarm for 12:30pm"
and just like that, we are now enjoying an hour lunch break.

Both of the kids are doing excellent in school today. I'm pleased they are learning to be self-discipline. Baby steps in learning this life skill.

I did not watch one single second of the news yesterday. Do I know what happened? Sure. I don't live in a vacuum but I don't want it to take over my thoughts. IMHO, what happened had zero effect on the daily lives of the majority of the people who didn't watch the news. 90% of the people are good folks. There are 5% extreme left and 5% extreme right. Why should that 10% of extreme people be given more attention than 90%? (these percentages are not exact but just my guestament). My job is to focus on and take care of what is in my circle of influence. ....stepping down off my soap box....

DD9 phone is acting up. I am using it as a tool to mentor her how to calmly react when things go wrong. #LifeSkills Things will go wrong. Expect it. Be smart in how you react. Troubleshoot it. What are your options? Think about what was happening when things went wrong. Now start to eliminate them one at a time until you find the culprit.

DD came by and visited, I worked while she was here. I'm going to give myself 20 more minutes for lunch and back to work at 1:30. Setting timer now.

I did not oversleep today... but I have gotten distracted by DC, and now my brain is in fuzzy mode. Trying to regain some focus.

I have checked the mail. One number I need to learn I am nearly there with yea!
Waiting on the last blanket in the dryer so I can say the bed is done!
I am hydrating today focusing on fiber and feeling so much better than I did yesterday bc I was feeling sluggish and off.
YEA for feeling better!

I am hearing lots of birds today. Snow all around us we are just above that point.
Gladmy routines are going well it is helpful to focus on those the first part of the year.

I have cups lights and tree to take down but not really in any hurry to do that
it is gloomy and I have been enjoying them, might be a good day for some hot cocoa for lunch.
Journaling is done I did not put anything about news in it not going to give it any of my headspace.

The dryer just shut off poof*

This was a 9-11 level event, just as the NATO Allied Command has said. I agree with the Generals who say we will remember where we were when we first realized it was happening. I own no rock big enough to get under, and I have ironed way too many fatigues and accepted too many triangled flags onto my lap, to be kept from an attitude of attention to the incited attack on the convened representatives of my own country and, more importantly, on the citadel of democracy of the free world for 228 years. I'm very grateful to the federal prosecutors who are already using facial recognition software - one said he didn't need sleep, he'd just keep working. I'm very grateful to our 10 living Defense Secretaries and I think Cheney was exactly right to gather all their thoughts into their unprecedented joint statement the other day. Maybe their seriousness about their oaths and their alertness to current events helped somewhat. I've spent way too long trying to avoid alertness to current events, I was wrong, and now I'm going by their example.
