Thank you, Cathy. I have it mostly written out on paper and will probably use a window for a "lightbox" to get it onto fabric. Hoping my hands will stay steady while I get that done! Won't start until I have all the supplies here, at least.

Worked yesterday on the quilt top parts that are on the design board right now. This is that medium-size project with 6 of 9 blocks done. Yesterday's task was lots of measuring and care, because I had to get one last center unit to fit in right. Thought I'd never find just one more plaid/check for the very center fabric for the last one, either, but I did, going through my scraps. The sizes all match up now, so the rest of assembling these last 3 blocks is much more straightforward.

Cathy, I was amazed to think that time of Elvis' death was 48 years back, but you are quite right. I believe I had just started patchwork for quiltmaking at that time and was still pretty awkward at it. I started in response to my two grandmother's deaths, within a month of each other in autumn '76, wanting to remember their favorite creativity.

What fun you're having Harriet! And it's wonderful that you're able to focus on something creative instead of your health right now.

I've been stamping off and on this week, but feeling kind of stale. Not particularly creative. I'm wanting to try some different techniques (coloring and fun fold cards?) so maybe this week I'll be stretching my creative mind.

Harriet and Twins it is so good to read of your successes.

I started another hot pad to go with the current set I"m working up.
I have it done to the center stripe part that is so exciting.
This is still the blue green set.

Update:
Finished the 1st hot pad and have started the 2nd one!
