LOL, I created some space in the kitchen and promptly refilled it with a container of cups and saucers that I haven't seen in a few years, helia. This is the benefit of this time: that I get to reorganize and go shopping in my stuff to have fun, "new" things. I just made myself a goals and wins list to remind myself to have fun, and to focus on what I want to accomplish. We get so much in the habit of just coping from one day to the next, it feels odd to step out of that rut and actually look around at all of the things I could be enjoying.

Is there any chance of your getting a 20 minute nap to recharge?

What a good idea, Dogged!

Waitrose have delivered, the groceries are PA, and everyone has been fed. I cooked lamb chops, with a red currant jelly, rosemary and garlic glaze, mashed potato, carrots and peas for supper tonight. Now Matilda is back on my lap. :D

Good night, Kittykatt. That sounds like a delicious feast!

Hi, Peaches.

Thursday
Cleaned up after dog
Put away some of the dry laundry
Washed out basin
Washed a few basinsful of dishes
Emptied out a container of cups/saucers that I had put away, brought back out for variety now that I have enough hooks for them.
Washed them
Set up a Goals/Wins list for this summer
Put away more dry laundry
Changed Germane’s water
Changed the air conditioner’s hose to drain into the drip tray
Spiffed self
Scrubbed out bathtub
Started to strip the bed
Remembered that I wanted to give some of the laundry a chance to hang in the sunshine on the balcony before the rain starts.
Wiped down the balcony rail clothes hanger
Remembered the air conditioner hose. Caught it just before it overflowed the tray. Siphoned and wiped out the tray.
Clipped clothes hanger onto the balcony rail. It doesn’t look right. It is above the height of the rail.
Looked it up on line. Found that there is a part that slides for flat storage but must be slid to the middle for use.
Set up the clothes hanger.
Hung a few of the wettest things on it.

I messaged Bama this afternoon, but she hasn't picked up the message yet. Is anyone here in touch with her?
WTG catching the air conditioner hose, Doggedly.
What a great dinner, Kitty! Yum!
Hi Peaches!

I just ate an entire piece of carrot cake. B gave it to me for my bday lunch.

My pasta sauce turned out really well - tomato cream sauce with shrimp. And a bit of cognac because we don't have brandy. Dinner was tasty!!

Dh met with friend R tonight and just got back. While he was out, I wrote a review of the bnb in Seattle and finished the first drafts of the exams for exam prep. We'll see what changes I need to make.

Next:
- duo

Later:
- strip bed
- remake bed with clean sheets
- towel and sheet laundry w d f pa
- go for a walk?
- writing?
- reading?
- anything else from my brain dump?
- duo
- update health apps

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - still trending down
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website
- texts with dbro; we'll figure something out. He might come up and stay in a hotel. I told him he's always welcome to come visit Mom - we just may not always have the bandwidth to house him + dniece.
- back exercises
- s2s and self care
- squeegeed and wiped down shower
- reclaimed kitchen
- phone call from hospice nurse
- texts with B to push back lunch by 15 minutes
- gathered stuff and otd late @ 10:10
- visited Mom
- chatted with the hospice chaplain
- 11:25 - 1 lunch with B
- home - had my daily yogurt :)
- some qt
- payroll: finish edits to AR Exam draft
- dinner: shrimp pasta, green beans
- after dinner clean up
- payroll: update AR Exam AK and send it all off for review
- bnb review
- payroll: draft of AIR Exam tweaked and sent off for review
- payroll: draft of LBBR Exam tweaked and sent off for review
- payroll: updated timesheet
- text to friend B
- let dbro know that Mom was back in hospice - wasn't sure I'd told him

Just a quick catch up post since what I need most is sleep!

Today DGD12 and I walked on the island and had lunch outside overlooking the water. And the puzzle is finished! /So maybe I can get a few other things done! The cat cafe was a big success. Ours is run by the feral cat rescue with the hopes of getting cats adopted. You pay to go sit in the room with the cats and pet and play with them. DGD12 was also fascinated and the one craft shop where a woman was spinning wool into thread and where they had some looms set up. We investigated where she might learn to weave where she lives.

Little Bit is done camp. It is run by the same church that runs her preschool program. This week was science experiments. No more camps this summer but she will go to β€œschool” 5 mornings a week next year.

My son in law is flying my grandson here tomorrow. He will take my granddaughter back when he leaves on Sunday and come back in a week or so to collect my grandson. He is an airline pilot so can fly standby for free or much cheaper which makes this possible. So at some point I need to play another fun filled week that he will enjoy. Once all of the company leaves I am sleeping for at least a week!

Hi, all. Thanks for starting us off, trissie, and for the interesting information. WTG on surviving the shopping trip.

Thanks, Kittykatt. As a bonus, I found a place to hang that balcony clothes dryer in the apartment, which gives me extra drying space all year round. I'm happy that I brought it back inside, as we have had rain all night since. I'm sure that the trees will be happy.
A free day to work on whatever you like, Kittykatt. Enjoy!

I fell asleep around ten last night, and am now up to feed Germane and get a snack for myself before I head back.

I haven't heard from Bama, helia. I have a vague idea that she was going to visit her ddaughters.
WTG on getting to the work that you have been trying to work on, and on the successful dinner.

L.Ann, you bring back happy memories. When kitkat used to talk about spin class, I literally thought that it was a room full of spinning wheels and yarn. I was so surprised to find out that it was an exercise class, LOL.
You must be looking forward to seeing your dgs, but a little sad to see your dgd go home.

Friday
Cleaned up after Germane
Snack and probiotic for Germane
Fresh kibble for Germane
Had half a piece of naan bread with Boursin
Redistributed laundry to dry better now that I have taken the sheets off of the clotheslines and put them on the bed.
Another snack for Germane
Filled the cookie jar
Filled the water bottles and put them in the fridge
Put away dry dishes

And on that note, I think that I will head back to bed. See you later!
