Re: Motivational Monday
Sitting in the parking lot, waiting for DD14 to finish school. It's gently raining. Watching DNeice transition from her role as an ELA teacher to a sports director at her second office.
Mystery - I enjoy your commentary in any form. No need to run unless you feel like it.
I'll share more about DS17's cattle idea later when I'm not posting from my phone. He only came up with it a couple of hours ago, so he needs to work on a business plan to think it through beyond step one.
I made spaghetti with meat sauce and chicken Alfredo this afternoon. My carb-loving family will be thrilled.

Re: Motivational Monday
Dee's "begun is half done" is motivating to me, and usually (sometimes) is very helpful to get me started on something.
I'll tell myself, "Just do 5 minutes."
Today, however, I have been sidetracked all day, but in a good way.
DS called to talk while he was driving home from a couple hours' away. I have to pick him and dgd up in about 10 minutes to go to dgs' ballgame. DDIL is going to meet us there.
I also had lots of text messages to send --
JOY -- dfriend's surgery was successful and she is out of recovery apparently -- her dh and ds were going in to see her around 2:00 pm CST.
Sooo thankful for these answered prayers.
Must get on my way. BBL, I hope!

Re: Motivational Monday
Hi everyone! I've been out of pocket working on getting rid of some of these ink pads and things today. I put a bunch of them online in a Facebook buy/sell group and again ran afoul of the rules. So had to delete two. I did sell one lot of ink pads and reinkers that I listed yesterday, and also have a buyer for the closet door that came out of our old kitchen three years ago. I'm using this as a way of decluttering, and if things don't sell I'm good with donating.
I did wash our towels today, and also the guest room towels with dishtowels/whites that needed washing after yesterday's cooking.
I'm worn out today - my workout was at three, after I dropped a package at post office and picked up scripts.
LadyM, I looked online and it seems there was no evidence of a shooter once they cleared buildings and all. The same thing happened here last week - because the temple is near the university, the temple also locked down.
Lucylee, glad the surgery was successful!
Big WTG to Nancy for going under couch cushions.
Yeah, Mystery, we gotta let those things go. I kept a sample in dkids scrapbooks in a pocket, but also found a stash in another place.
Good job Cathy on your decluttering too! I need to see if I don't have books that can go. I donate the public library, a group resells donations plus library books culled.
Gotta get back downstairs and see about some supper for us...
And a frustration...cemetery. One lady on the committee now says she needs to attend the funeral of a member. I don't know that they even had a relationship. She offered to meet with anyone who wanted an update on her pet project if we showed up 30 min early but I emailed everyone and asked for an update via email. Crickets. And two other guys just announced they now have a conflict but could set up a Zoom meeting later in the week. Part of me is ready to turn in that checkbook and move on.

I have absolutely no energy. Trying very hard to not fall asleep before 9 p.m. Dh and been sound asleep in front of the tv for over an hour. Actually he just walked past me and said "I think I fell asleep." LOL!!

Re: Motivational Monday
Ack! Ds had Covid, he thinks. Thought it was a bad cold until he realized he couldn't smell anything, even perfumes. It was not a bad bout like my poor doctor had and he is back to nearly normal. He was keeping it from us, both socially and physically, so we haven't seen him since he contracted it. The rest of his family was spared.
It was his two children's first day of school and big day in the sports areas of their lives. While he was on the phone, dgdC got a run for her softball team, so she was happy.
Our green-eyed boy had his first day of try-outs for the school golf team. They did chip shots outdoors and - I guess just putting? - in the gym? Another parent who was present told him that he did very well and that he "gave a clinic" on putting. Tomorrow will be drives. There are 3 immediate spots that will be filled after tomorrow, 5 spots for which there will be continuing competition. 14 were at the try-outs, both boys and girls.
Joining Ramblin' in that I had a poor night's sleep last night that affected the day later. Trying to go to bed at the very best time to be able to head out with HRH to his dr's appt tomorrow.
