Re: The Spanish Tragedy Saturday @ TDD - C&C
Having some lunch now. Just got home from a jog - did my own 5K. Stopped by WF and got some fruit and lunch odds and ends.
Two hours to the airport is a long drive, L Ann, but it sounds like DC airports are closer if needed? I love fall root veggies!
Hi Peaches!
Maybe I should try telling the JW I'm Roman Catholic trissie. I've told them I'm a Christian and I got to church regularly, but that doesn't keep them away.
LOL Doggedly on the teenaged girl analogy. Did your body cooperate?
Glad you're having great weather, Bama. Nice list of TaDas!
Is the cabbage and kale from your garden, Lauralind? I hope you get some "me time" today to do what you want.

Gotta stop myself. I could have been done or almost done mowing if I had started earlier instead of doing inside jobs that could be done anytime.
Getting sunscreen, yard clothes and shoes on and heading outside. Dh had to air up the mower tire anyway and he moved the vehicles for me which was nice. Just getting my headphones on and heading out. Might bbl. Cheering you all on.

Helian yes the cabbage stuff is from my garden. I got cabbage and kale. Forgot about the dill that is now drying in the oven.. a small bag of somewhat big enough carrots to keep. And 2 milk crates of small potatoes. There's tomatoes too but they're all small size so I should buy some more to actually make something with.
How is F? That grandbaby must be coming soon?
Making progress. Clean kitchen. Laundry ready to switch. Dill is drying. I've never done it before but I think it's working. One head of cabbage chopped. Break for a bit and chatting with my sister figure out dinner plans..
Priority list
Basic routines
Kitchen clean
Floors
Chop cabbage and vacuum seal
Bring in kale leaves and blanch
Decide on Thanksgiving meal when and where? How?
A few supplies maybe for canned tomato soup
Paint shelving
Today's tada list
Finish the cabbage
Sweep everywhere
Switch laundry start next load
Decide with sister about meal
Tidy laundry room and master bedroom some
Empty and reload dw
Switch laundry
Finish tidying kitchen all the way
Chop cabbage (4 heads)
Shower and clean my shower
Start laundry
Success sending boys off

Dogged, we've already had this prime minister four years ago - he made us "best in covid" (his words, not mine) - we were so good we even made the USA headlines with the numbers of infected!
Bama, I absolutely LOVE Shakespeare - but I prefer reading his plays to actually seeing them! Everybody wants to give it a modern twist but it ends up simply awful. But I really want to see Patrick Stewart's Macbeth (which takes place in a 20th century East Europe dictatorship), because from all I've heard and seen, that one is really, really good.

L.Ann, I adore baked fall vegetables!

Things I Ought To Do Today:
- go to the parts store to replace the windshield wipers
- top up gas
- wash hair
Thing I Want To Do Today:
- not go out
- not get wet
Bama, feel free to share your weather reports. It's fun to get such a different perspective on it. We having our true fall weather here, with the temperature going up and down. Yesterday in the elevator, I pointed out that half of us were bundled up with coats, and half of us were in tshirts and shorts. We all knew what the weather was; we just had a different opinion about it, LOL.
So true, Lauralind. When I had my hound Inertia, you couldn't take a picture of a black dog. You would get a roughly dog-shaped blob and a clear picture of the background. Now we can just point and tap our phones for perfect photos.
Thanks, L.Ann. It was just morning stiffness. Germane and I are both moving freely, and she is her normal alert self.
Hi, Peaches
We never really leave high school, do we, helia? We see the same patterns repeated in our neighbours, our families, our politics, etc.
You are making very good use of your "free day." WTG!
trissie, Canada was very very lucky to have the heads up of what happened in Europe before COVID arrived here, and a government that acted on the information to protect as many people as possible.
The movie looks very interesting. I'm a fan of Patrick Stewart and Shakespear both.

Now I am waiting for the boys to come back. I made coffee and kept hearing what sounded like the trucks coming... must be some other noisy diesel ones out there. Any time... gotta get ds26 and nephew opinion on when. Ds and ddil are supposed to go to his family tomorrow but nephew is leaving Monday morning for work down south for a while. Do we miss nephew or my kids.. and then just get together with them another time asap. Hard when kids are all having 2 families.
I have too much cabbage... not done the kale yet. I think I just need some down time too. And I'll maybe help dump the wood off the truck.
Finish my coffee and then get moving.
