Merry Christmas!

Cathy - thank you for the start today.

We are having a quiet time so far today. DH and I are doing our normal daily doings and enjoying being together.

This morning DS17 discovered a flat tire on his pickup when he was supposed to be at GF home in 9 minutes. He transferred the gifts to another vehicle and took off.
A couple weeks ago I bought DS17 a portable air pump to keep in his vehicle to give him options to deal with flat tires. But all the options take time and DS17 didn't allow any extra time this morning for those aut-oh moments.

It is supposed to be 80F today. Sunday it is supposed to get down to 21F. That is about a 60 degree difference in temperature!

Merriness and meaning are hoped for all of us today! ~~~ Warm thoughts wafting out! ~~~

Oh dear, a flat tire but it didn't stop the festivities for him, LadyM, so that's good.

Mrs. (dsonil's mother) is the founder of our brunch feast this morning. Fruit bowl and quiche. So, my brunch, lol. HRH put rolls in oven beside the baking quiche, though, and has other plans. She was very sweet to send to me, always does, and I had sent her a bookmark. Don't know why I let dsonil talk me into not setting her fruit bowl out yesterday - it would have been a good addition to so much entree and cookies.

Our assignment today is supposed to be choosing from the family photos ddil made from her camera-and-automatic-click setup yesterday. They are all about half-and-half people and ceiling, lol, so I see photo editing in HRH's future, into some kind of oval or long photo. Also, as you can imagine, every time one youngster's face was pleasant, another looked either silly or frustrated, :) :P :x  :D :| lol. So, he may do a little child-expression-swapping, too. Shhhh... ..

Quiet day here I hope. We're due at 6:30 at dfriends for dinner. I'm taking a purchased cake and berries for dessert and canned whipped cream. Might have a glass of wine with dfriend M down the street today. I'm hoping we don't, honestly. I am just tired of people and events.

We were back home last night at 10:30. Very enjoyable evening, but I am just tired.

When dh got up we had coffee and hot chocolate together. No discussion regarding supper. No discussion regarding plans. I let him know that Home Health called yesterday but I missed their call. I will call them tomorrow morning to set up the initial appointment. I did some research and the phone number matched the number on the website. After the doctor stating "it takes a while" a call withing 24 hours was a sweet surprise.

We already had a nap and I just had time to relax and read and I knew there wasn't anything I had to do around the house. So far it's been a very relaxing day. A friend gave us a package of smoked salmon, so I had that with a bagel and cream cheese for brunch.

Nice peaceful and quiet Morning here today by choice.
DD & DGD coming later.
I've done some planner stuff to revive my prayer planner project that had been shelved last year.
Classical Christmas music was on then it changed to just classical music before I turned it off for a bit.

I saw the Christmas episode of Net flicks Victoria series I"m watching saw it last nite that was timely.
New tradition found some thing I can have sweet potatoes fries for breakfast.
Whipped cream on my coffee today to make it even more special!

No stockings no gifts under the tree but I got funds for things I wanted and have them or ~
they are in transit. Sock yarn got that already.
Planner items journals in transit. One will be for the above mentioned prayer planner.

Glad I waited on Hobby Lobby visit till after the holiday crush.
Found a book I can use for a Devo. here instead.
I have walked.

Have a great Christmas everybody!

DGS28 came and spent 3 hours with us which included breakfast and lunch. There was too much food, but the conversation was nonstop and enjoyable.

I sent my Ninja Creami and supplies home with DGS28 to try. Since I’m not using it as much as I thought we would, it feels good to send it somewhere it will be appreciated.

I thought about skipping my hourly pathways today since it’s a holiday, but I quickly realized I WANTED to do them and would be disappointed if I couldn't. So, it’s hourly doings as usual here. DGS28 is such an easy-going fella and willing to join in doing whatever I suggest. He walked 6 circle laps with me as we continued our conversation.

Quiet day here, thank goodness! I'm going to dneighbor M's around 5 for a glass of wine. I've played online with genealogy and had a nice nap. Two laps walking ddog.

I need to get fruit ready to go later - we'll leave about 6:10 for the last party of this week. Dh was outside earlier cleaning the old ashes and coals out of the firepit. I sense he's wanting to have people over for an outside fire soon. :?

Predicted high of 74 did not materialize, it's currently 68 degrees and super overcast cloudy. "The sun won't shine and the sky won't rain."
