I'm finally home and have no intentions of leaving again today.
I recently read an article about the shift in how people are choosing to stay at home more. I totally understand that sentiment.

DD14 went to stay at DD49 home for ?? a day or so. We have 4 teens here now. GF16 is in the house while DS17 with 2 friends are in the shop. One of the friends bought a wrecked pickup for $300 because it has a good transmission that he is going to put in another vehicle he is rebuilding. They deemed the wrecked pickup doesn't have any other usable parts so they are intentionally destroying it with a sledgehammer.....just for the sheer fun of doing it. BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! Repeat about 50 more times.
Reminding myself again....they are staying out of trouble and there is a chance they might be learning a thing or two.
In any case, I suspect they will sleep well tonight after slinging the sledgehammer over and over
Stay motivated. Success loves persistence.

That made me LOL, LadyM.
THANK YOU.
I’m lying here wrapped up the cozy blanket dniece gave me for Christmas and I’m crying because I’m so nervous about this roof situation…
But the vision of those boys and the sledgehammers made me laugh.

How is the girlfriend entertaining herself while all that is going on?
Tomorrow is another day.

Thank you all for condolences for Ruby. She was 12. When I’ve been between dogs she has been such a steady substitute, and I love spending time with M. Millie, muffin, and Chief have been her good friends. So many walks while M and I solved the problems of the universe.

(((Twins))) so very sorry to hear about DRuby - she must have left a gap in all your lives . I'm sure you're being a good support to your DFriend

LucyLee, when you see the roofer next, then would be a good time to chat about your concerns with the dormers, even if you don't see him until he actually comes to do the roof. In my experience, dormers deserve a whole conversation to themselves! He should not think you're being silly, rather he should be grateful that you have drawn attention to your biggest concerns and the "quirks" your house has.
