Went back and got some red & green fabric to play with.
The dish cloth is over 1/2 done now. I have done a 2nd one.
Got one of two hot pads done for that set.

Started another set of dish cloths in cranberry red.
I could not find any more of that color for hot pads so will let you know if I use white or not.

Got some fun new colors to mix and match with today using my bday coupon from JoAnn's.
Some fat quarters are pressed after prewashing & a couple of rements too.
2 flannel pieces for run they make great stuff bags for sleep overs or what ever.

Fun to hear about your fabric haul at the yard sale, Nancy. Yep, jeans made into all kinds of bags are very popular now, and they will last a long time, probably.

DgdC was here yesterday for about an hour and a half I guess. She finished her two nine-patch blocks. As expected for someone's very first patchwork, they don't match in size, but I can think of ways to fix that if she wants to use them together. Next we are making a "54-40 or Fight" block except the center will be plain, so there is probably another name for it like that. She has a good start on it.

I told her about Elenor Burns - remember her "Quilt in a Day" tv show and later books and videos? I showed her how Elenor would be so excited about teaching how to do patchwork that she would toss leftover small bits up behind her in the air, saying "Get rid of it!", so that she could hurry on to the next step. Dgd absolutely loved that and tossed various bits over her shoulder from then on, lol! Then she would realize and hurry over to it saying, wait, I want to use that... ..
