Happy Sunday, everyone!

I spent the morning just hanging out with G. We had a long talk about this house, NC house, potential moving, when, etc. We are going to sell this house, but we might wait till after our Ireland trip in May/June 2026 to really focus on getting it ready. We were thinking that the NC won't be ready till spring 2026 but the way they're going it could be sooner. There are a lot of moving parts, so nothing is set in stone. We'll get there.

Okies.. gotta move on things here. First things first -- house spiff.

Put the dw cart away

Hi, everyone!
Is anyone going through posts on the old group? I’ve been reading 2009 and so much was going on then in my life. Now everything is totally different. I also got so much done then. I hope to get that energy going again here so I will try to post more and catch up on everyone’s lives.

Who can resist free flowers, Dogged? I did only take two small bunches and they had a whole wheelbarrow full! Hi Peaches. Lots has definitely changed for me since 2009, Bama. I think I figured out the best flights. Waiting for confirmation that DD38 can take off work those days and that they work for DD40. DD40 also needs to confirm whether or not DGD12 is coming back with us or not so I know whether or not to get a ticket. I did figure out my rewards number and DD32’s and the passwords since they weren’t saved on my new computer.

That's a big change, Smilelee, but having a new house built exactly as you want it sounds exciting.

It's been a good day. Church was interesting, and DF E was in very good form. Lunch today was roast chicken with a smokey pepper and lemon rub, roast potatoes, creamed leeks with boursin, carrot and tenderstem broccoli, followed by raspberry mousse. I had a little time in my garden and a long chat with DF CW. She's having a particularly difficult time ATM, as her DH has declined mentally to the point he has "lost" his personality, and conversation with him is now extremely limited (on the plus side, he does seem to be happy in his own little world, with no more paranoia or psychosis and is getting excellent care at the residential home) and G12 is going through some anxiety related food issues. Fortunately, CW with her medical background knows a very good paediatric psychiatrist who is helping G.

I had planned to do some work on the photos today, but Matilda has other ideas, and has commandeered my lap for the last few hours. When she eventually gets off, I see if I can squeeze in half an hour on the photos.
