June 6, 2025 Friday
In garage added another 4'x5' plus 20'x3' area in garage north side. Now the total size of garage area that has been sort/tidy/decluttered is 8' X 20'
** Heavy table was put by the road with FREE sign.
** Two bar stools put by the road with FREE sign
** Large decorative picture put by the road with FREE Sign
** Large plastic tub of school supplies moved to different location where other school supplies are kept
** Big fish tank, decorations, pumps and everything needed for use to keep fish is waiting on a decision to be made by DD14. Decision made - she doesn't want to keep it. Out to the road it goes with a free sign on it.
** Large container of DD14 Winter clothing. I think we forgot about this tub of clothes last winter and it was from 2 years ago. I just know that these clothes were not used last winter. Oops. Waiting on decisions to be made by DD14 what to do with all these clothes. Keep or give away?

In Kitchen 3'x5' area received focus with refrigerator removal, cleaned underneath and behind. New Refrigerator in place.

In Fun Room 12'x15' area received focus. (180 sq ft)
** Window seat decluttered and deep cleaned.
** Fan cleaned
** Decorations cleaned and put in different positions
** Vacuumed
** horizontal surfaces polished.
** SHE card created to make sure this area stays decluttered & clean. Weekly card to remind me to pay attention & be aware of anything that starts creeping back into this area. Do a quick sweep & swish to maintain the surfaces

I got some books and journals de-cluttered today.
Bagged up some clothing donations also.

Today I did a massive e-mail purge yea for getting to that.

In my bathroom 5'x8' area received focus. (40 sq ft)
** Every shelf and surface deep cleaned and decluttered.
** As I went through each of the plastic storage tubs and decorative baskets on the shelves, I was surprised to find many items that were no longer being used. As I found each unused item, I put them outside the bathroom door until I finished. After deeply cleaning everything, I turned my focus on all that clutter that was removed from this small bathroom. WOW! It accumulates quickly and without being noticed.

I cleared my kitchen counter, then emptied my whole (it's small) pantry cupboard onto it.
Sorted out, tossed expired, put back only what I expect to use.

Looks good now, and nothing is falling out!

I'm still working on clearing boxes off the bed in the spare room.
sigh paperwork not a fan of.
But I did get a section of it done yea!

Wonderful to see measurement of decluttering, this time in square footage, LadyM. I have used that before, also by weight once. Favorite probably has been by number of bags or other containers.

I have decluttered an old lawn mower. I was willing to let it go for nothing, frankly, and told ds it was worth real money to me to have it gone, because it was in the way. But that is not the way ds' mind works, lol. Ds pressure-washed and listed. I met the couple and chatted only briefly. He did the rest and helped with loading onto their little trailer for them. So, a reasonable small price happened, to make up for parts purchased for it recently.

Sorted stuff in two rooms and did a swap out of purpose in the one
took writing stuff & papers out to be able to use it for sewing instead.
Closets too.

Got the yarns out of the other room in that closet.
Brought up the sewing machine from the basement.

Boxes moved and it's pretty much back in order now.
Great time to do this as the temps. outside are hot now with
a heat advisory up till 11 p.m. here tonight.
