I'm done for today. There's still lots to do, no it I can see a difference, especially with my nice clean and tidy airing cupboard!

Priorities for tomorrow:
Rehang curtains
Take out box files, dust inside of cabinet and replace (dont worry about going through all the paperwork now. That can be done one file at a time in slow time)
Can I declutter / deep clean wardrobe?

That’s a lot, kittykatt! You should feel very accomplished.

I worked on the front porch and foyer.

Foyer -
cleaned mirrors
dusted console

Porch -
cleaned storm door and front door glass
cleaned windows
watered plants
filled dog water bowl
swept
*asked dh to fix railing and he said he would, so waiting on that

Cathy, your hall looks so spiffy! :)

blessed, knowing that you do that is encouraging to me. I think, well, blessed keeps on target, so I should, too!

Kittykatt, you are doing so well. A big YES to taking photographs when you need to remember how you want to put things back.

Bama, glad you could delegate some. I hate to report it, but our light fixture replacement didn't go well the other day, even with HRH and ds scratching their heads over it. We may need to call electrician.

Today I spent 45 minutes on the back porch. Used the old porch broom, trying to keep the new one nicer. Swept ceiling, swept down all the walls, the window to the kitchen, the screen door and two interior doors. Took everything out - I tossed the old welcome mat and another mat of dd's that really had no business out there - didn't know it was there! Shook out the roofing shingles that are used for better footing on the steps when we have ice. Swept floor and steps. I put the shingles back, even though they are not attractive. We just need to keep them close by, so the porch makes sense for them. At least they look neater. Literally the only things on the porch now are those shingles and the broom!

Bama, thank you! You did well, too. Did DH fix the railing yet?

WTG with getting your porch done, Harriet.

Today I did more work on the spare room. I *think* all I have left to do for the deep cleaning is my childhood dolls house and DH's display cases of model buses, which I could probably do on Monday when DH should be safely at work. I also need to rehang the curtains - tomorrow would be good for these! And I need to go through my box files one by one, but that really comes under decluttering!

I also got distracted looking at material online. I really need new tablecloths do the kitchen table, and it's much cheaper to buy the material (red and white check gingham , to pick up the read in the curtains) and make it myself. I can also ensure I buy a better quality fabric, so hopefully these tablecloths will last as long as the others have. I'll probably be hand sewing again, as it will be a nice "project" for the winter evenings, and I won't have to keep putting the sewing machine away every time DH needs the desk. I also need some new tea towels. Maybe red as well, so the kitchen has some kind of theme/ colour scheme, and it's not just random colours everywhere?

Dh did fix the railing yesterday! The bottom horizontal piece of wood had come loose from the wall (board attached vertically to hold top and bottom of railing) and he was able to lift and secure it back. Now I can sweep dirt under it again without it clogging up in a pile.

Kitty, the tablecloth sounds lovely and homemade makes it extra special as well as durable.

Harriet, I’m sorry the fix wasn’t an easy one, hope it gets figure out and isn’t any more trouble.

Yay for a fixed railing, Bama!

I finished deep cleaning the spare room yesterday. Jist the box files of paperwork to declutter one by one left, which I've moved to the decluttering thread. Next here will be the kitchen for me!
