yesterday was a really hard day with my bother. devastating with dd's, myself. brother is hurt - bc his wife and nobody but my gifts from mom to him got him any gifts - he told me and dd's no gifts to him.
threats for me - he told me that "he lets" me take care of mom and that he could do what ever he wants with her. he can do anything he said - he is control and he is. really sad situation- I don't think dad thought it would be like this when they put him in charge of their trusts. Really bad.

((((blessedw2))))

DSisIL stopped by for a visit and brought us some homemade peanut brittle. Oh wow. I’m not usually into sweets, but making and enjoying peanut brittle during the holidays is tied to so many wonderful memories.

The chicken parmesan dish turned out so good IMHO. i should make it more often.

((blessed)) I hardly know what to say. He is troubled. I'm glad you did do the normal gift-giving from his mother, for her. But what more could there have been... .. unless friends, the other family ?? No, his wife could hardly find a normal path to keep up traditions. ((your family))

I'm sniffling from the monthly med given today - temporary reaction, expected. Sneezing now - cartoonish - ya'll would smile at me. Can't nap, sneezing too much!

HRH and I are very happy because of test results for me. Waited until today to try to understand so dr could guide me - I haven't seen any like these and way too complicated to manage reading without translation. The word, "better" just kept coming up as she talked to us. Lots of "betters". Still immunity will be a concern, so I will continue somewhat isolated - not terribly so, and getting used to it, anyway. No large groups or events. But general health is regaining ground, body is fighting, and no need for any meds except this monthly infusion and a few pills.

Hi!

Maybe if I post about this, it might happen. Appliance guy hasn't shown up yet. I called him at noon and he said something about late afternoon and he would call back. It's after 4 here. Sigh...

Other than that, not much happening here today.

Got current with most of my morning writings.
Got out of pj's after putting them back on was not quite up
to my best feeling today so went for comfy mode until time for our walk.
Had lunch first however.
43* today's hi temp. not to bad it did snow in the distance
I was able to notice on our walk.
It was refreshing.

Glad to see Harriet had good news!

I love your good news, Harriet! I recall once that the doc could tell I wasn't anemic anymore from my face. I think they do notice such things. Maybe she had a sneak peek at your results?

Echoing Harriet to Bw2, he is troubled. He wants to be in charge and he blusters, but wants everyone to forget what he says too.

Excellent hard workout - but not too hard. Glad to be back twice a week.

I think everything is in order to actually send invoices. Many people are already wanting to pay, so I'll get started with that soon.

Grrr... just heard from the guy. Now he's coming tomorrow morning just before noon. I told him I had a 2 hour phone appointment starting at 12. He says he won't be here long. Whatever.

Harriet - Congratulations on your good report.

We ran a few first-of-the-month errands, paid the water bill, and grabbed cash from the bank for the month. While out and about, noticed gas had dropped another 10 cents a gallon. On the way back home we picked DD14 up from school.

The door fella is here working on installing the storm doors. With temperatures in the high 70s today, keeping the exterior door open isn’t an issue.

I just taught DD14 how to use the air fryer. She has been reluctant to use it. She was going to cook breaded mozzarella sticks in the microwave which will leave them soggy. She was surprised to find out how simple it is to use air fryer. Put food in. Press this button twice. Wait. Remove food. You're done.

(((Cathy))) Waiting on service people is sooo frustrating!!! I hope he gets in and out of your way again quickly tomorrow.

Harriet, I was also thrilled to see your good news. Hearing the word "better" over and over is definitely a good sign! (((HUGS))) for sniffles.

(((blessed))) I'm sure your parents did not foresee the problems your brother would create... but now it's your problem to deal with. I just hate this for you, and agree with others -- and as Twins said, he wants to make all these pronouncements and throw his weight around, but then he wants everyone to forget what he says -- and treat him as if there were never any problems at all.
As one of ds's friends once said about a particularly difficult coach -- "All we can do is pray for him." (((BIG HUGS))) for you and all your household.
* Did you say anything to the helper today re: the use of her time?

Nancy, I'm glad you got something out of my post in MO.

It's kinda amazing, but here I am on Day Three, and I feel great. The ONLY changes I have made is putting the sleep timer on the tv, putting my feet on the floor when the alarm goes off, and making sure I have something to get me out of the house by 11:30 a.m.
Today, I did not get out of the house by 11:30, but that was because I was coloring my hair. I washed my hair last night and colored it this morning. Put a load of clothes in the washer. Then I ran several errands:
* dropped off receipt and 4" chainsaw at the renter's house. He is going to try to fix the chainsaw for me.
* post office -- poster for DS has STILL not arrived and I don't think I should question the guy a third time. Sigh.
* mother's bank, deposited her renter's check
* drug store -- found out I need to call my insurance company -- some problem (widespread) with retirees' drug coverage
* Wmart
* D*mino's -- last night DS "flung a craving on me" to quote the late Jerry Clower
* doctor's office to relay message from dmom re: renewal of certain prescriptions

Since I got back home, I have eaten a LOT of the pizza and cinnamon bread bites with icing, and I have the clothes ready to hang to dry. Dgrands' clothes are in the dryer, and a second load (whites) is in the washer.
Also watched part of Jeopardy. I would not be a good candidate for Jeopardy.

(((Twins))) -- sounds like a big headache, working with the webmaster for the HOA.

I've got to get busy with this tree. Looks like the ornaments are NOT going to fly off the tree on their own. But I have eaten too much. I"m going to lie down and enjoy the lights for awhile.

Harriet it is so nice to read that things are getting "better"!!

LucyLee I'm glad that you are having good luck changing a few things thanks to Chat thing.

I'm so deep into my own problems today that things are registering in my brain. We had the worst supper tonight, but our whole day was odd. I slept until 9:40 and I had to be at the Monday morning stitch group at 10. Before I left dh told me that a certain Canadian politician had done something huge. Turns out dh read this on a website he can't find now. Sometimes I worry about what dh reads and believes. He also thinks it's okay to give out his phone number and then cuss at all the spam calls he gets. I don't get spam calls at all. Dh only gets spam calls. He also seems to get a lot of free sample things in the mailbox.
