I've been really distractible this morning.
This. It's been dh, it's been the dog, it's been my own distractibility.

Yes, Mystery, difficult discussion for LadyM today. Can't imagine.

Weather forecast looks like we may only get a little freezing rain on Saturday night late. Thinking about all that will have the incoming weather. Get laundry done, get groceries in, get showers before possible outages... Our dfriend V made us a dinner reservation for Sat night - hoping we can get out.

So distractable I need to gather my thoughts. I finally got an order from Publix done.
-HOA deposit from yesterday entered
-start getting stamping give away stuff downstairs
-15 min garage clean up
-some "me" time stamping?
-all the other grandiose things on my list for the week that I haven't done.....

Cathy, we see the same thing with respect to severe weather with possibility of tornados. They always want people to be aware, they'll be blamed for not warning us if we get a catastrophic storm. then we blame them for their dramatics when we don't get the storm. The kicker here is that many of us in the south wouldn't mind seeing snow, at least enough but not too much, whatever that is. So we want to believe too...

I need to get the dog in so I can go upstairs.

We are home and ready for the winter storm to begin. The radar shows it will arrive around 2:30pm

I succumbed to the emotions of the grocery store crowd in over buying cr*p. All the highly processed stuff we normally don't buy seemed to find its way into our cart today. I may or may not have opened a bag of potato chips and ate some of them on the drive home.

d lady - I think it's the potato chips fault - they do call out - my dh always says that little arms poke out and wave at you when you are in the store. - and whisper buy me - eat! :D he also said when the I fell and broke my ankles is bc the ground liked me so much; it pulled me down. (funny guy :D )
glad you made it home before the storm

it is nice that they cancelled the appointment - mom is at her appointment and they haven't canceled it. its -7 right now and feels like -27

I have left over beet/goat cheese/arugula salad from yesterday

Lucylee.. if you don’t have electricity your heat pump won’t work.
YES -- that is why I've been such a basket case these last few days... ordering stuff that has to be returned (wrong lightbulbs, wrong heater) SMH...
Like I said before, and told dfriend last night, I've lived in this house for 44 years and haven't frozen to death yet. Of course, without dh here makes everything seem twice as bad. Maybe a 100x as bad.
But -- the weather is fine right now -- no precipitation predicted until 2:00 a.m.
DS is in Nashville and will be home well before 2:00 a.m. -- and that is apparently when it will start there, too.

I have talked to the vacuum repair place in Next Town, so I am about to head out to drop off the vacuum cleaner, AND the UPS store to send the non-rechargeable lights back... and I will stop by the post office. Might get something to eat while I'm in Next Town. The vacuum place is right behind a favorite restaurant!

I did get an email telling that the city storm shelters will be open as "warming stations" if needed.

(((LadyM))) Hugs and prayers for difficult doctor's visit... (((BIG HUGS)))

I'm sure dgd will want to spend the night -- I'm just hoping ice does not prevent her going back home when she's ready in the morning.

OH -- something that was probably not on the high school principal's bingo card this morning:
Our high school dismissed all non-bus students at 10:30 this morning because a SKUNK has sprayed in the building and it is unbearable. They said all students could leave if they drove or could contact parent pick-up. If they are unable to leave school, they will spend the rest of the day in the gym and bandroom -- non-attached buildings that are not affected. DGS will still have workouts this afternoon. They walk from the middle school to the high school and the weight room/field house/etc are not part of the main building.
Reason #7500 I'm glad I'm not teaching anymore!
Tomorrow is another day.

Still trying to pick one I've watched a few min. of one did not want to

Have call I could make but in lite of the storm decided to wait till after it warms up no
hurry on that call anyway.
Got the clothes folded and found the other sock yea got a pair.

Another cloudy day or high fog here.

I guess if I get bored I can do the mopping! LOL!
Did your mom ever threaten to put you to work if you said you were bored?

Oh, my goodness, blessed! I'm coming to your house! All I have planned is baked mac and cheese and bagged salad.

Harriet, from what I've heard/read, part of the difficulty in predicting this storm is that the water's coming from the south, and the cold is coming from the north, and how it hits is going to depend on when and where those two meet.

Put clothes into the washer, had lunch, put clothes into the dryer. Now the hard part -- tackling the master list I prioritized the other day. #1 requires a simple conversation with DC. #2 requires a DPC -- it really should be quick and painless, but I dread making the call nonetheless. #3 is going to require a possibly uncomfortable conversation with DD. That's as far as I want to go right now.

Oh, goodness, lucylee, a skunk?

I hope you find a movie you enjoy, Nancy!
