Re: Daily Food Diary - January
Indiana, it looks like you don't eat very much. I hope you're not unintentionally losing weight.

Re: Daily Food Diary - January
helia I haven't been eating much. That has been a problem. Normally I eat a good amount.
My eating has been up and down. I wasn't losing weight because my body thought I was starving it. Not a good thing. I weighed my self today and I lost 5 pounds in the past week. That is too much in a week.
I really need to concentrate on healthy eating. I have all the things in place and some good ideas from Harriet and her Dad. Now I just need to do them.

Re: Daily Food Diary - January
It may well be balancing out, though? Possibly that was your body's "catch up" week following a time of hanging on to weight in metabolic indecision!
Now you get credit for it and it's a surprise. Another way of looking at it is that it's 5 pounds over a couple of weeks.
I have no expectations of seeing the scale change since I've increased exercise Jan 1. Later for that. That's fine.
Starting here with Friday for the rest of the week, which will work well for me. I plan to make my shredded squash/carrot wraps, plan to boil a bunch of eggs for egg salad.
Friday eating
egg salad half-sandwich with lettuce, 1 cup skim milk
carrot/squash filling on whole grain wrap with 1/3 cucumber
1 of dd10's recipe pizza toast
3/4 cup slaw, 1/2 cup potato salad
Cedar Lane burrito
small Pepsi
Saturday Eating
livermush half-sandwich with lettuce, 1 cup skim milk
carrot-squash filling on whole grain wrap with 1/3 cucumber
egg salad
very small serving lasagne - less than 2 ounces
3 Doritos
small Pepsi
Chocolate Santa candy - 3-4 inches tall and flat
Sunday Eating
banana
medium cheeseburger w/lettuce-tomato, 6 or 7 fries, small Pepsi
another chocolate Santa! (oops) they're gone now
Ritz Crackers - 10? (oops)
lasagna (small portion), carrot salad

Friday - January 9
Breakfast: 1/2 serving cheerios, 1/2 banana and yogurt (I know it may seem boring to you but oh so good to me. No thinking and I can deconstruct it if I have the munchies.)
Snack: 1/2 banana
Lunch: 1/2 peanut butter sandwich, V8, 1/2 banana
Snack: apple
Dinner: banana, bagel, cream cheese, yogurt, orange
Snack: Part of chocolate reindeer antler
Harriet yes I think it was just a hold out from the previous weeks and balances out. I just don't like to drop that much in a week. It takes me back to the time I was dropping 7 - 13 pounds each week regularly and had to slow it down because it was too much too fast. Some it will come back which is ok.

Re: Daily Food Diary - January
I didn't eat enough on the weekend. The breakfast, snack and lunch were good after that I didn't eat much.
I didn't get the fruit salad made last week and I didn't make the pumpkin pie filling so those are being made today. I'm getting more carrots, celery and radishes clean for snacking, cooking eggs for egg salad and thawing soup for dinner that we didn't have last week.
Monday - Jan 12
Breakfast: cereal, 1/2 banana and milk
Snack: 1/2 banana
Lunch: 1/2 peanut butter and honey sandwich, celery, carrots, radishes, 1/2 apple, hot tea
Snack: 3 huge strawberries
Dinner: beef vegetable soup and waldorf salad
Snack: other chocolate reindeer antler
