I stayed on my eating plan, drank all my water and got in 15K steps. I was able to run in my house while sweetie went for his evening walk. I made 2250 steps in 20 minutes and never stopped running. I sort of have a shotgun type house with a turn so I can run front door to the back of my bedroom and then repeat with a detour around my kitchen island. I actually enjoy doing this!

Today I have a luncheon with my friends at a new to me restaurant. I’ve already looked at the menu. It’s a tea and pastry place so I’m going to order a chicken salad sandwich and won’t eat the bread. It also comes with a cup of fruit which is on my eating plan. However they are known for their pastries and desserts… that will be my challenge …maybe I’ll put a picture of my dress on my phone just in case :D:

I'm claiming my Attagirl for yesterday taking care of my health.

I did my first-thing-in-the-morning mile walk and also met my step goal. My goal is 8,000 steps a day. Reminding myself that I have to start with a goal that I have a chance of achieving.

I mostly stayed with my food. We did end up stopping to eat THREE times last night in our evening adventures. Teenager boys are always hungry and thirsty. I didn't get any food at any of the stops but only ordered a Diet Limeade (15 calories). However I did eat 4 of DH onion rings. If I had checked how many calories (290) were in those 4 onion rings I wouldn't have eaten 4 of them! But even with that blooper I stayed below my calorie goal for the day.

It is a start. I am pleased to be posting here with the cool kids. :)

Attagirl was earned for yesterday taking care of my health.

It wasn't an easy day and I struggled. I had an emotional day with other people's actions and decisions affecting me. In the past these type of days would have triggered me and I would have given up my focus on taking the best care of my health. However, yesterday i stayed focused on what would make my body feel the best. I asked myself if this food choice would cause my body to hurt or feel good.

I was about 75% successful with staying focused which resulted in my body feeling good. I am not seeking perfection but want to continually seek to improve and learn.

Two days of effort resulting in two days of weight loss showing up on the scales. I recognize that I won't lose weight every day but it is a good feeling to start that way.

Scales are down again this morning. I know this won't keep happening because weight loss doesn't happen on a consistent downward trend, but I am still going to celebrate when the scales do go down.

Eating my own cooking where I know every ingredient makes it easier to track. Tonight, I will be eating out which is more of a challenge. The fat & sodium in restaurant food always seems abundant.

Attagirl, LadyM! I got an attagirl for working out - today fourth workout since the wrist break. With the heat today I huffed and puffed and sweated through the back of my shirt. I feel worn out. I'm thinking it must be hard work to grow bones, I've been so tired lately and have been eating relatively well.

Genealogy institute is online next week, going to workout on Friday afternoon and will miss TU and TH. Following week they are closed 4 and 5 July so I'm going to get a Monday and Tuesday workout.

I'm so tired.

WTG Twins!

I earned an Attagirl yesterday for paying attention to what my body needs.

I stayed below my calorie goal for the day and successfully went out to eat without blowing it. I made my food choices before I left home and I didn't feel a moment of regret while eating it.

I am struggling to get my steps in. I continue to do my 1 mile first-thing-in-the-morning walk. I try to do the 14 hourly 250 step minimum. However I am still averaging below my daily 8k step goal. Not an excuse but the facts are I am in the vehicle 4-6 times through the day taking kids here and there. That required sitting in vehicle and the 1-2 hours I spend standing in the kitchen do not give me any steps. When DS15 gets his license then I will not be doing all those kid-taxi trips. I am hopeful when that chunk of time becomes available to me, then my steps will naturally increase. Countdown to his 16th birthday is 45 days.

After multiple experiments I think I have the combination of ingredients for my daily frozen high protein treat.
100g Plain Nonfat Greek Yogurt
120g Fairlife Lactose Free Fat Free Ultra Filtered Milk
1 scoop Whey Protein Concentrate (Chocolate)
1 scoopCollagen Powder
Dash of Pumpkin Pie Spices
These ingredients result in a treat that has =
233 calories
47g protein
9 g carbs
1 g fat

Yesterday was another successful day of keeping my focus on what makes my body feel good. Attagirl earned.

By keeping a written food log (in addition to using cronometer) I can easily add commentary an hour or two after I eat to remind me of how foods make me feel. Being able to easily review the comments from the past several days feels like a gold mine of information. I already knew how some carbs make me feel. The bloating and stomach uncomfortableness happen over and over after I eat ingredients with flour. However, my stomach doesn't protest with every type of food containing flour as an ingredient. I still haven't figured out exactly why some bother my stomach and some don't. The observation & research continues.

Today finishes my first week of staying focused on doing things that make my body feel good.

I am pleased with how the week went and I give credit to how helpful and powerful it is to come here for accountability, review and reflection. Just being deliberate and consistent seems to be 90% of the effort needed.

It has been a good week in the effort given to taking care of me.
** My energy level is increasing.
** I have zero pain in my body
** I lost 1.8% of my body weight this week. That is an amazing start, but I know that the amount of weight loss is not to be expected every week.
** I increased my daily average steps by 600 this week (compared to last week).

What do I want to learn to be better at doing?
** I am still 1K steps below my 8K daily step goal. I want to develop habits to deliberately increase my daily steps.
** using the "Mother of all weight loss" spreadsheet to let the algorithms show my data. It takes time to capture the information and let the formulas have time to dial in and give useful results.
