I have fond childhood memories of breaking my braces several times while eating frozen Milky Way bars in the summer. A week is about our travel limit together, helian. When we did large family summer trips we usually stuck to a week and each family needed their own condo so we could come together or have quieter time with our nuclear families. I had a good productive day. DGD12 and I are working on a puzzle which sidetracks me from th computer.

Kitty, yes, hormones might play into interactions, good point. And things will be different when DGD is here. We're all still getting to know each other.
That's a good way to do vacations together, L Ann, and we will probably do that in the future. Ooh fun - a puzzle!

kittykatt, when I saw Milky Way, I wondered if it was going to be the galaxy or th ecandy bar!
helian, I didn't onw about Hormel and pureed foods. Boy, I sure could have used them 15-25 years ago when dh needed them for 10 years. They are a lot of work! They probably weren't available back then. Good to know if I ever need. Also, I think that with your Mom in hospice, even if she wasn't, your brother deserves to come to see her since she is not geographically close to him as before. But you don't have to give him a vacation!
laurlind, perhaps the anxiety for no apparent reason is really for the reason of feeling overwhelmed with so many responsibilities. Supplements can be helpful - adequate nutrition is important for adequate energy. My restorative go to when I'm really feeling low energy is a slow roasted roast beer, with carrots, onions adn potatoes in the pot. Even tho I know that supposedly a plant based diet, including beans, legumes, dark greens, and fresh fruits and vegetables, provides the best long term nutrition. I am learning this from the online continuing ed I am doing on lifestyle medicine and nutrition to renew my license.

I guess I slept in, did get my dw loaded, picked up mother to take her to lunch. she insisted we had to bring a gift to the friend who had invited us for lunch. I hadn't bought anything. Mother was absolutely appalled! So we stopped at my house and I found a nice pair of earring that I could wrap up. I'll miss them..... Stayed with mom at NH for an afternoon from a community choir group. They come every month and do a great job! NH found some towels that needed folding, so she had a job for a while, and she told me she had a root beer float for doing a good job! (I provided the root beer, NH provided the ice cream.) Tonight when she called me, she wondered where I was going to sleep tonight (at my house, mom, in my bed), and although she knows that Tutsi died, she is wondering if I am taking care of the "other Tutsi," taking her out to go potty and giving her enough to eat. I simply tell her yes.
DfBS is due to come home from hospital tomorrow. I stopped at her house to feed her kitties, and check her refrigerator as tomorrow is garbage day.
And I promised mother that we could go shopping tomorrow afternoon - after BINGO!

I've got 2 loaves of banana bread in the oven - DfBS had some ripening bananas on her counter that needed to be used. She will get one of the loaves. There goes the timer!
