I'm glad that you are having such nice summer weather to work outside, Kittykatt. We have been spoiled with cool summers here recently, so we're a little surprised by this hot humid weather just going on and on. I'm so grateful for air conditioning, I can't tell you. And there's lots of work to do inside the apartment, so we won't get bored, LOL.

LOL, I'm not sure that my sleep hours qualify as normal, trissie. You are flying through that housework. WTG!

Boo hiss boo on the weight not cooperating, helia. Could it be a delayed reaction to travelling, with the interruption to your normal routines? If so, it should cooperate with getting back on track now that you are home.
You have such a busy life, I think that we can all understand having difficulty getting to housework.

L.Ann, your schedule doesn't allow for going back to bed, so I did it for both of us ;)

Lauralind, I can completely relate to leaving all of the housework and packing until right before the trip because you just can't get to it. I confess that I went to my db's last trip without doing the housework. I just shrugged and said if pipes burst while I am away, maintenance is going to see a dirty bathtub. It was all that I could do to pack and drive and then unpack at the other end. Just focus on what has to be done (like packing what you need to bring with you) and let go of the rest.
I hope that your trip gives you a chance to truly relax (yes, I know that you will help out but when you help in someone else's house it doesn't come with all of the emotional baggage as doing your own.)
Oops--I've missed Lauralind.

Hi, Peaches

WTG on getting the shopping done, Gma. IKEA is miserable to walk around when you have a sore foot. Can you order it online and just pick it up from the front service counter?

Friday
Cleaned up after Germane X 2
Snack and probiotic for Germane
Fresh kibble for Germane
Had half a piece of naan bread with Boursin
Redistributed laundry to dry better now that I have taken the sheets off of the clotheslines and put them on the bed.
Another snack for Germane
Filled the cookie jar
Filled the water bottles and put them in the fridge
Put away dry dishes
Checked drying laundry
Put away the dry
Rearranged the remaining to dry more efficiently
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed a few basinsful of dishes
Dug out kitchen utensils from old purchases and washed them–win!

I'm getting hungry, so next I'll get breakfast organized.

I just got an invitation to a barbeque for tomorrow. :D I love retirement!
Quick change of plans: I need to swing by the dollar store to pick up a pad of paper and some coloured pencils to go with the cool dohickey that lets you trace images from your phone screen. And a gift bag and birthday card.

Sounds like fun, Doggedly! Not sure about the weight. My body does have a delayed reaction so yes, maybe the travel indulges have come to roost? It's still a little less than before my trip.
Hi Peaches.
So much walking for you and your sore foot, Gma. Is it OK? Nice synopsis on everyone!

This afternoon after my work out with the trainer, I got the sheet and towel laundry done, all the way through to folding and putting everything away. There are clean towels in the bathrooms and clean sheets on our bed. I did a little more decluttering - T shirts (not much) and books on the desk. I proctored the exit exam to 1 student and got his CEFR chart ready to email to him on Monday. This evening, dh and I walked over to a fav neighborhood bistro for a small dinner. We walked back - and continued walking in the neighborhood.

I'm going to bed soon. I'm tired. I'll do the 5K at 8 a.m. tomorrow - if the weather cooperates. It looks like it'll be a rainy morning.

Next:
- duo
- read and get ready for bed

Later: like tomorrow
- finish tidying desk - wip
- pay Mom's dentist
- progress decluttering clothes - wip
- maybe - work on cleaning fridge
- duo
- read
- writing time?
- brain dump items - email replies?

TaDas!
- up; weighed self
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website - rain for a couple days
- brushed teeth, gathered everything, saw text message from AS
- some qt
- back exercises
- reclaimed kitchen
- s2s and self care
- squeegeed and wiped down shower
- stripped MBR
- clean towels in bathrooms up
- load of light sheets + towels washing
- a little more clothes decluttering
- lunch
- lights drying; dark towels washing
- gather things; off to work out
- 1-2 work out with trainer
- went through t shirt drawer - decluttered a little
- went through books on desk - declulttered a little
- set up for exam
- 4:10 - 5:15 payroll: proctored exit exam
- dinner out with dh
- walked in neighborhood
- updated 2 health apps

I'll have to find that bill tomorrow.
Spent part of afternoon helping mother play BINGO. Went to the park across the street . I have my very well cushioned athletic shoes today, so my feet feel better. She fed the goats some cracked corn, whistled at the turkey, who responded with a gobble! That is fun to see. She calle me later, crying that she is bored, wants to be home. That is so hard, because I know it cannot be and she doesn't have the cognitive understanding of the reality. She remembers life from 10 years ago when she could manage. She is upset that I won't even let her try. I told her I will bring her to her house tomorrow, but she will have to be the one who gets herself in, because I cannot lift her up the steps. She said that's ok because she doesn't expect me to and I won't need to. I can't call her on my cell phone because she accidentally pressed the call block button! I will have to deal with that when I am with her tomorrow.
We will be able to buy some local sweet corn picked in the morning.
I finished 5.5 hours of continuing education online, r/t lifestyle medicine. There was substantial information about the benefits of healthy plant based diet. I will take that into consideration for my own life, as I don't have a clinic or patient population. But I will answer any of your questions if you want to know.
Worked 30 minutes in my sewing room. Sorted through some patterns - found several to bring to Salvation Army and a couple to give to neighbor who sews PJs for her grandsons. And arranged remaining ones by number, so when I find stray pieces, I will be able to find the envelope to put them in. There are several of those!
It was fun to remember the fun I had making those beautiful blouses, dresses, slacks, wearing them too, and giving some away. I still have some of them. Love my flannel shirt with the red corduroy yoke and cuffs!
