I have been working on some ideas for Sept. and fall & the holiday plan.
It was really helpful to think on it and I found my Dec. notebook and that has some food lists.
I also remembered that I have a yellow tote with fall decor items in it very few but so glad I remembered them.
I have a sign I painted with fall on one side and winter on the other I'd forgotten all about & some other just a few items as well.
One other thing is I try to get spring bulbs and plant in the fall gives me some thing to look forward do all winter!

DH is away this W/E, staying with his DBro..I have finally painted the bathroom ceiling, and decided to deep clean and declutter the rest of the bathroom. So that's one (tiny!) room done! :D

Got some bulbs daff. & tulips to go by the 2nd set of stairs off the deck.
It rained today so I'll be conisdering when a good time to get the holes dug for those to go in the earth.
Might need more soaking first and the things that are done this year can be taken out.
 Good for fall dried arrangements.

Daffodils and tulips will look so pretty, Nancy. You've reminded me I need to repot my bulbs from last year (or I might be able to get away with feeding and top dressing them. We'll see.) I also need to buy pansies for my other winter pots, which means a trip to the garden centre. I have a 10% off voucher which is valid for the whole of September, so maybe next week? Or the following week?

I've started my autumn garden tidying, and cut back some of the montbretia that had gone over. And pruned the first rose - 26 to go! Doing them one or two at a time means I can pay attention to each rose and do the clear up without feeling overwhelmed. My climbing rose usually takes several goes, as there's so much to prune out and tie in.
