DD32’s hematologist recommended taking one of her meds with chocolate milk to help with the nausea. It usually seems to work. I get nauseous with almost anything I take.

I do better if I can take it in the evening but that doesn’t work for the multiple time a day things.

That is really interesting about chocolate and meds. I don't have too much trouble but I have an easy powdered version of iron that mixes with a drink. I'm contemplating once that is gone maybe I should just find a multi vitamin. Iron is kinda known for that.
Decent day at work. Accomplished a good section of count. Only frustrating thing is the "kids" in the front. The boys on their own are good workers. Just that girl is impossible to get moving. They did a few little things up front. I had asked her twice to do some organizing. And an end display. Not done. Ugh. Whatever.... that's why I do it myself so much.
Home for a rest and a walk . Ds did a marinade for steak. That will go on the grill in a bit.

Aw, Matilda we understand your desire to leave the party when you are not enjoying it. Today when I picked up Germane from the groomer, there were younger, faster, more determined dogs who decided that they were leaving with me. Germane looked at the crowd at the door and just walked away. I ended up going into the section that is meant for employees only and picked her up. In that case, Germane looked at the party at the door and noped out of there.
Gma, I'm glad that your dgs was able to figure out the power washer.
That is interesting, L.Ann and Kittykatt about taking medication with chocolate.
Mmmm... steak for dinner, Lauralind. That will cure what ails you. Enjoy!
Hi, Peaches.

(((Doggedly))), I’m sorry you’re physically uncomfortable today. Germane knows she looks good so doesn’t have to be jealous of those young pups. It can be nice to have dh around sometimes.
Laura, I’m glad you got a lot done in spite of the young employee.
Hi Peaches.
LAnn, I’ll use any excuse for chocolate so thanks for another one to store for future use.
Gma, wtg on the walk. I’m thinking your weather is nicer than mine so I’ll happily join you outside at your house. At my house we might be forced indoors to face those dreaded chores that wait for me and no one else.
Kittykatt, good luck painting Friday. Thanks for the info on trissie, wishing her well in her travels. I think it’s so cute you Europeans can go to another country on a day trip. I can drive 8 hours and still be in Alabama lol.
Dh got home shortly after I posted, we put away groceries, he showed me the freebies he got (office stuff mostly, pens and post its), we picked up bookshelf, went to the farmers market, got bbq on the way home, just walked the dogs and got ready for bed. Now let’s hope I can get to sleep soon. I was falling asleep on the couch but not so much now. :p

Bama, I live in MN. 25 years ago, when dmil needed a NH, we were told "this NH doesn't take medical assistance (MA) payments, as it is lower than their costs." Others had one rate for MA and another rate for private pay. This basically meant that private pay patients were subsidizing those who had no money to pay for their are, and subsidizing the state's low payment rates.
I have no idea when it changed, but now the state has a list of care need categories, determined by the resident/patient needs. Mother has been consistently transfer to bed with assist of 1 staff. But she had so many bladder infections that it impacted her abilities, and she had become weaker and was needing 2 staff and/or equipment. After getting cortisone injection into her knee, and recovering from hospitalization from UTI, she improved. No matter whether the resident is "private pay" or MA, the rate is set by the state as equal, based on care needs. And it does vary geographically, based on various costs of living. Amazing to me, it does not seem to take into account confusion, which I think adds to the care needs. But who am I to complain? It's saving me (mom) money!
I got the intended part of the driveway done. More tomorrow...
brownies are baked for dgson to take to University - I have to to make frosting.
choc chip cookie dough is chilling briefly. Then I will send a few dozen cookies with him as well. He will have 3 roommates, so I'm sure 4 boys will enjoy cookies!
They leave early in the morning, so I have to do this before I go to bed, then bring them to their porch where they can get them before they leave - before i get up!
