Helia, you can get a lot of steps in walking around a hospital. Are you central or eastern time? If it’s late, maybe do a little extra tomorrow?
Hi Peaches.
I finished addressing my Christmas cards and will get them out.
My apologies to the couple I had to fold in half to fit in the card. I think dh used some of the larger envelopes with the smaller cards and didn’t think about it.
Going to cook and reassess. May be back tonight, might wait until tomorrow…

Tuesday
Cleaned up after dog X 4
Put on a pot of coffee
Fresh water for Germane
Papered her pen
Spiffed self
Loaded granny cart
Settled dog in pen
Took kitchen/bathroom garbage to chute
Started to leave
Realized that I forgot my phone, so I don’t have my grocery/sale list
Left anyway
Realized that I can’t pick up my order without the phone
Went straight back
Went back to apartment and enraged little dog by enterin and leaving without freeing her from pen
Went to Canadian Tire and picked up order
Bought a hose that is meant to fit over tub faucet for cleaning things
Went to grocery store
Mostly shopped the sales
Grocery prices–yikes!
Came home. Brought the first load up
Freed very good and happy dog
Gave her treat
Scrambled to connect to the zoom meeting for the anti-poverty group.
Fought with zoom for an hour on two devices, in browser, installed zoom and tried to log in, tried to register, tried to change password etc.
Sometimes I had audio. I never had visual. Sometimes I had chat. After an hour I gave up and signed out.
Put away cold groceries.
Put supper in oven
I would describe that inspection as going swimmingly, Gma. Clearly not stressful for you, as you have done this before and know that you will pass.
Yes, helia, time zips by and I never know where it went.
You should have eaten at the hospital before leaving. Their cafeterias' food is often surprisingly good, and subsisdized.
Hi, Peaches
Sorry for leaving you on your own, Bama. You did make some good progress, though.
I found a channel that plays classical music and dance. Right now I'm watching Sherezade from the Czech National Theatre. I was confused at first, because I was expecting an opera, but they danced around without singing. Saw that it was a ballet. Was still confused because it was all girls dancing so couldn't see what it had to do with the story, except one part where Sherezade was wearing a half mask that looked just like her face. She took it off and poked her head around the top and the sides to show that she could hide her emotions. But after half an hour the girls danced off and the prince came out and started stabbing the floor, so I guess they just haven't met yet.
My dinner is ready to come out of the oven, so I'll take it out to cool and go back to the car for the rest of the shopping.

I am in eastern time, Bama. And I'm very tired now. I think I'm going to bed and make progress on my list tomorrow. Congratulations on finishing the Christmas cards, Bama!
That sounds frustrating re: zoom, Doggedly. My work uses it regularly and so does dh for his job. We also use it for personal family meetings. Once in a while it freezes. Um, why was the prince stabbing the floor?
I'm going to order dd30's big gift now. Then, I'm going to get ready for bed.
Oh shoot! I forgot -- I have to get garbage and recycling out. I'm going to do that too. That will probably perk me up and I won't be able to get to sleep for a while. LOL! Oh, well.
Main Goals Tomorrow:
1. Payroll: Prep for AAS D11
2. 1:30 - 3:30 Payroll: Make game to practice grammar for AAS D11? (Is this possible?)
3. 4-5 Payroll: Administer Exit Test
4. Exercise - try a short jog in the morning?
5. Order gifts: dh, smaller gifts - dd27? dd30?

Posting my final list for the day - because I want credit.
Main Goals for Today:
1. 11-12ish KS2J get together
2. Finish dniece's gift - order zoo certificate, wrap
3. Get dniece's gift in the mail
4. Exercise - maybe a long walk since it's so much warmer today - some walking in the hospital and shopping area
5. EMG appointment, out 2:25 - 5?
6. payroll: make game for class
7. Order gifts for Dh, J12yo, and maybe dd30
8. Get appointment set up for tire
9. Communicate with dh re: dd30's big gift
Next:
- get ready for bed
- read in bed
- sleep soundly
TaDas!
- up; weighed self - ugh

- email deletions; weather website: 20F right now! It feels like a heat wave! And the sun is working to shine through some clouds
- lot of communication re: BG and CG; the elders at the past church have somehow found out that CG is in the hospital. Contact with them would not be helpful and is not welcome to them. Others have been looped in to help filter contact, including presbytery leaders (who know about the issues with this church and support BG, the ex-pastor) and BG's brother, who is here now with them.
- payroll: last read through of reading exams
- payroll: sent one more invite for exit test
- payroll: let director know I'm going to skip the tour -- which is starting now *sheesh*; also checked in on AC who was not feeling well
- called tire place -- will bring the car in at 8 a.m. on Thursday
- payroll: communication with CM re: my own final exam tweaks
- reclaimed the kitchen
- some qt
- chatted with M - said good bye
- s2s and self care
- squeegeed and wiped shower
- KS2J meeting at J's house - she fed us homemade soup and bread
- home; yogurt
- payroll: checked with school office re: SS' observation tomorrow
- messaged SS with all info for her observation
- ordered zoo certificate
- wrapped gifts for dniece
- ordered gifts for J12yo
- messaged dh re: dd30's gift - got the green light! Yay!
- packed up everything and found parking at the hospital
- 3-4 EMG test
- postal place: niece's gifts are in the mail
- TJ - looking for some Christmas classic munchies they have to bring to the other hospital for BG and CG + family
- home; text from R - he's coming the 19th not the 18th.

What a busy day, Dogged. And an interesting ballet you found. Zoom calls can be aggravating.
Helia, you got a lot done. Hope the tire issue is minor.
I think I’m winding down. Dh and I ate supper and watched NCIS, he’s going to bed and I need to clean up the kitchen, let the dogs out, and get ready for bed myself.

I think that he was stabbing the stage to show his violent character and intentions, helia. He was in quite a temper.
I have brought up the rest of the shopping. I ended up driving in one direction only, so I still have to drive in the other direction at some point to buy the gluten-free meat pie for Christmas dinner. Probably not tomorrow, as I have a concert tomorrow evening, and don't want to leave Germane alone twice. On the bright side, we like duck and pea canned dog food again. That's the one that I bought the full case of, so I'm happy about that.
WTG, helia! You deserve the credit.
I think that I'm pretty much at the end of my useful energy for the day.

Bama -- I am so glad your dh checked out well with the doctor! My dmom worries about Parkinson's (and Alzheimer's) because her dad had both -- Parkinson's for many years but eventually began to develop signs of Alzheimer's. Anyway, her neurologist (also her dad's) checked her out and assured her that she had what I think he called "essential tremor." The tremor does bother her, and usually it is worse later in the day. She has medicine to take for it, but it does relieve our minds that the doctor saw no signs of Parkinson's. She said her maternal grandmother had a tremor much like hers.
Trissie -- I loved hearing about the origin of the turkey's popularity. That makes such good sense, and I had never thought about how the turkey was large enough to feed a crowd! It seems so obvious, now.
My family however, will be having bar-b-que pork, and we will pick it up at a local restaurant. This has become our tradition since my late dmil decided she didn't want to cook a big meal any longer, especially after we had the traditional turkey/etc for Thanksgiving. I called and got that order in today, and dbil will pick it up on Christmas Eve.
On Christmas Day, DS and family will be with his inlaws and I hope to have leftovers from the bar-b-que.
The next day, after much discussion and angst (on my part) we have decided we will go out to Waffle House for breakfast, late in the day after ddil gets off work. Our tradition has been to have a late breakfast with my dmom on either Christmas Day or the 26th, but dmom has turned this over to me... and while I was willing to give it a try, DS and DDIL want to go out so everybody can just order what they want and it won't be so stressful.
We will go to dmom's afterwards to open gifts and maybe have cinnamon rolls. My brother and his wife live in Florida and are not coming home for Christmas. (Which creates more angst for all of us, but there's nothing we can do about it. If he doesn't realize that his Christmases with his 81 year old mother are limited, we cannot make him see this.)
