HI, everybody! Happy new Year!

It's football day in the US. I won't be watching. But the day starts with the Rose Bowl Parade, a parade of bands, horses, and I think I heard over 30 floats, mostly 40 feet long (that's as big as my house!) and decorated entirely with flowers, seed, and natural fibers, such as grasses. I did watch that, and now have 3 lol to fold, DW to unload, then get to my house project.
My meal today will be the other half of the sandwich I bought at the food coop yesterday.

helia, you got to hold baby for a full 2 hour nap! What wonderful Grandma bonding time!
FFB, my mother used the K table for her desk, but then had to clear it for every meal. She didn't have a filing "system", other than a box in a closet

OK, this is my 3rd time hitting submit! So many people posting :D

Hi. I’m just editing my list as I go rather than copy pasting editing. Keeping it simple. I gathered up all of the garbage only to find one trash can missing so methinks dh already lugged it to the road for morning pickup. Oh well. This stuff needed out of my house anyway. I don’t know how the food will do but not gonna worry about it. We are already getting flies since we haven’t had enough cold weather to ward them off. And ant beds galore! One is trying to eat up a dogwood I planted last spring so I woke them all up with a stick to aggravate them into moving :P, will treat the bed tomorrow.

Dogged, you’re a very considerate neighbor.
French, yep I’ll take all the good luck I can get, I have black eyed peas, carrot coins, greens, pork, sauerkraut, all heating, cornbread to be made… hope I haven’t forgotten anything… I can’t remember much about the Howl movie except that we seem to have enjoyed it.
Helia, enjoy your family time and ick on using someone else’s toothpaste or anything else, especially without asking.
Kittykatt, I love old furniture. Sounds like you got quite a beautiful piece.
LAnn enjoy the fondue pot creations.
Kitkat, enjoy the pup time. I enjoyed mine. It’s a beautiful sunny day here. Hope yours is too.
Gma, we have to watch one football game as Alabama is playing. Roll tide.
Hi Peaches.
Waving to everyone who commented past my scroll capability.

Hi, Gma. I'm glad that you persisted with the Submit button. :)

Was that a planned game of Find It with the puppy, kitkat, or was that instigated by the puppy, LOL?

I'm sure that your DD is enjoying her fondue pot, L.Ann.

Bama, I predict a healthy and prosperous year for you, based on your diet. :)

Germane is more like herself than she has been in days. I've lost track of how many times I've put a couple of spoonfuls of food in her dish. It helps that we have started a new can. Turkey and Potato seems to be a hit. For now.

Thursday
Rolled up old runner on computer desk and removed old placemats to replace
Rolled out clean runner on half of desk
Removed keyboard and mouse
Lifted monitor with one hand and chin, and unrolled the rest of the runner
Put keyboard and mouse back on
Cleared off standing desk
Dusted it
Set it up on computer desk
Turned it 90 degrees
Realized that the standing desk is causing problems and solving none
Found that I was cut off from the kitchen
Reorganized the area under the pass through in order to clear up the way to the door
Shook out the old runner and put it in laundry
Cleaned up after dog
Breakfast for dog: she ate two out of three dog foods: yay!
Gave her extra spoonfuls of the two acceptable dog foods: yuck ptooey
Sat down to eat my own breakfast
Cleaned up after dog
Checked dog’s dish: she has eaten some
Put more yuck ptooey dog food in her dish as a reward for using her pee pad
Folded/put away the laundry from the clothesline.
Put away dry tshirts and brought more out to dry more effectively.
Put away clean dishes
Tidying
Unboxed one of my laptops to set up
Started new can of dog food: Performatrin turkey and potato which she seemed to like last time
Cut up pills for pill organizer
Gave pill to dog–yay! She likes her food enough that she ate the pill, and she is even kind of eating the formerly rejected open cans
Set up laptop temporarily on dining table
Started installing Windows
Found temporary home for box
Spiffed self
Cleaned up after dog
Started fishing things from under the desk
Worked on laptop set up
Cleaned up after dog

Doggedly, I am happy to hear that Germane has perked up with her eating.
Bama, I checked all my channels, and didn't see even one football game! I don't have cable, just an antenna. TV is off, DW is on.
L.ann looks like you are getting a headstart on the New Year paperwork.

my K might have been the stimulus for the person who designed the little plaque my dsis gave me: It's officially FLOUR IN EVERY PART OF THE KITCHEN season. I have no idea how long it took me to empty the DW, load it while clearing the counters (mostly), but it is done enough that I have rewarded myself with reheating yesterday's leftover half sandwich, for supper, since I didn't eat lunch. Hooray for my little airfryer, that makes the reheating toasty instead of microwave gummy.
I'm not only working on my house, but I need to lose 20 pounds, that have accumulated with the past few months of dealing with all the issues surrounding Mother. , and I am going to treat myself to 1, only 1, piece of candy for dessert. I'm hopeful that now I will be able to have the time to be mindful of what i am eating, instead of just whatever and whenever.
I have some brussels sprouts in my refrigerator that are hoping to be roasted tonight.

Gma I intensely dislike "microwave gummy"... I use a griddle/grill to heat sandwiches/wraps. I LOVE brussels sprouts!
LAnn you are SO organized. A reminder to myself to update our wills...
Dogged when it's cold/slippery out, I play scent games, tug, obstacle course with pup inside. She enjoys it - especially with the treats to motivate her.
Waving to Peaches

Got a LOT done today. A LOT MORE to be done tomorrow.
Thanks Ladies, for the company and inspiration.
