I finished putting out the rest of the boost for mom - she does the 500 calorie one - vanilla
put all her pull up extra boxes in one area again 7 boxes of 4 in each box
put all her green bed pads in one area again - 8 boxes
put Kleenex in house and keep the extra in the garage
tossed the strawberry boost bc she doesn't like it.
she finally fell asleep.
dh is cutting up the boxes
next: clean counters well and put away.
I have one box for christmas to put downstairs
mom's room still has lights on the window - turned off but still on there.

My only ta-das so far:
Up, D2S, Bible reading
Load of clothes in the washer
Talked to teacher group VP -- have info for our meeting next week, need to send group email (that's why I'm here at the computer)
I really slept late this morning,(even for me!) but I do feel my sleep quality is better since I started following Chat suggestion to put tv on sleep timer.
Sleep timer says I got almost 9 hours, and 7 hours was "core" sleep, 1 hour and 23 minutes was REM sleep and 8 minutes was "deep" sleep. (Awake -- 45 minutes.)
I am going to town, to the post office (I am not meeting the Chat "appointment" time of 11:30 -- it is after 2:00 pm here.
But I will go and also will go through the drive-thru and pay electric bill.
Need to go do a couple things for dmom at her house.
Also hoping ds went to take down her Christmas wreaths. She was going to leave them up till dbro came to "celebrate" but apparently she has talked to him (he sent her Christmas gift in the mail) and either she has given up on him or she's just tired of looking through the wreaths when she looks out her kitchen window.
My brother is nothing like yours, Blessed, but he IS aggravating. I refer to him as the Prodigal Son at times, having gone to a far country (

Florida, LOL) and squandered his money. Actually, he has not squandered his money... the fact that he watches it so closely may be part of the reason he doesn't come home more. I know dmom would pay for the flights, however, IF he would come home more often. He just doesn't want to leave dsisil there alone, I think -- she is pretty clingy -- and her schedule as a nurse doesn't allow much off time.
I doubt ds has been out there, however, because I think he would have let me know. I wish he would hurry up, because tomorrow is supposed to be rainy and cold, and the weekend doesn't appear to be much of an improvement.
Washer is singing its little tune to me -- this load is finished -- bbl.

At the thrift shop I asked if they sell a lot of yarn and needed donations.
I noticed they did not have much in stock.
They said yes and have people coming in all all the time looking for it
and asking for it & would luv some. I said I'd ordered some that was not
what I wanted. Also have some I'd wound in to yarn cakes & was changing hobbies.
I will try to get that loaded up when I get my tire aired up.
Maybe in couple days and can get lunch again.
I looked in the garden center at my store they did not have any bulbs or seeds out yet.
66 days until spring.

I'm doing well with staying up with hourly check-ins with myself. It always makes the day seem smoother when that can happen.
Next up -
** pick up DD14 from school and take her to 4:00 physical therapy appointment in next town.

I don't think plowing through pages and pages of tax lists beginning in 1822 counts as enjoyable genealogy research. These pages are handwritten, listed by "company" with a "Cap't." Each captain's list is roughly alphabetized. I'm looking for Whites so I can mostly skim and skip to the end of each section. I'm on image 281 which means approx. 560 pages done so far. I'm up to 1834 and have hit two years w/o "my" William listed, but this reel goes to 1836, then there are no records until 1853.
I'm going to stamp a little....

made spanakopitas -made extras for the freezer for another day. I. think I will make a salad. emptied out the clean dishes earlier
putting dishes in the dishwasher
helper was supposed to go home at 4:00 (her sons teacher conferences) glad I noticed at 4:30-and she left - nice thing is that mom was asleep 3 hours and she was able to be away doing her own thing. - I am hoping she got to it.
moms dementia went away and then came back about a half hour ago. not forgetfulness but holding things and not letting go. confused by what it is was for but also sure of herself.
took the French toast I froze yesterday and put them in individual containers with extra raspberry sauce on the side.

I wouldn't think that looking at tax information from 1822 and onward would be the interesting part of genealogy.
interesting that you are looking through captain lists! interesting that there are no records until 1853 - I would expect during the war it would be missing or destroyed.
so happy you are doing well with your hourly check ins for yourself - wonderful
hope your dd has a good appointment
hi d Nancy how nice that they would love yarn!
I have to order seeds on line before everything disappears
d Lucy - yay on your ta das - you reminded me that I have to get back to my bible study
you needed the sleep and glad you got it.
lol my brother never squanders money lol lol on Florida being the far country!!!
how far does your mom live from you and your ds?
I hear your washer singing a happy little tune.

Wow!
All of my dishes got done before 7 p.m. !! We haven't gotten a phone call yet to tell us when a PSW will be coming back. We might have the entire day to ourselves tomorrow. With the dishes being done already, I can have the entire day to do other things. (Like our bedroom closet.)
Dh is on the bed under a blanket playing on his phone. The same phone that he wanted me to get rid of a few days ago. Hmmm...
BTW, the OT appointment went well. One of the cats really liked her. It was a question and answer meet and greet. She noticed dh's edema.
Oops. Time to turn on the dishwasher. Then I'll join dh and read for a while.

DS52 and DGS15 called to chat while they were driving to gymnastics class. DS52 shared his news of quitting his job where he has worked for 23 years. Four hours later he accepted a job with large corporation to be their head of ai. I asked when he is going to retire and he said when what he is doing isn't fun. I could hear the excitement in his voice about this new challenge. He will still be working from home, and they have no plans of moving.
I made a sign to put in the kitchen to remind DH to not eat or drink after midnight. He has an abdominal ultrasound in the morning. We will leave for that appointment after we drop DD14 off at school.

Best wishes to your ds, LadyM.
Cathy, this transition into having some help seems to be going well for your household.
blessed, I'm sorry there seems to be a see-saw between confusion and feeling better. Maybe some good rests can help her with the swings. I didn't know there was a 500 calorie Boost. I am going to follow your lead and throw away the clear Ensure I have here from recuperation time - it is royally awful to taste, IMO.
Twins', that sounds like the perfect genealogy break, to stamp a little!
lucylee, glad you are seeing improvement in your sleep.
Got a call from dcousinMary, on the occasion of her retirement week. I'd heard from the birthday cousin that it was this week so left a message. As usual, we laughed and talked SO long. We could nearly finish each other's sentences. We agreed that we need to get together soon and have lunch or something.
While on the phone with her, ddolder came by - HRH knew but I didn't hear, Suddenly she was beside me - surprise. So, I handed the phone to her a while and she chatted as well.
