Hi Kittykat!!

Congrats to your DD14 LadyM.

We have yet another in home appointment/interview. The coordinator for this region is coming next Thursday in the afternoon. Just in case they think dh should have more care (or something like that.)

I needed some comfort food this afternoon so I made a baked rice pudding. I had a bowl full when it was hot out of the oven so I poured some milk over it. Yummy stuff!! Unfortunately we are also having supper in around 30 minutes. Oops!!

Congrats to dd14, LadyM. All the aunties here are cheering her on!

Vet visit actually went better than most have been. They took her out of the room to the back for drawing blood and the one shot she needed and the exam and nail trim. Their theory is that dogs don't have to "guard" their master if they go to the back. She was not panting like crazy when she came back, we've had trips that she barked incessantly or was panting with anxiety. Going to try a compounded liquid Zoloft that can be added to food for her anxiety, barking, separation anxiety.

List for today:
-print two or three HOA checks/mail, etc.
-get HOA deposit ready
-run Roomba in upstairs bedroom

-get floor of my workroom ready to run Roomba up there Ran roomba in workroom too. Should run again...
-talk to dh about hotel room in Ft Wayne when I go for NGS conf - better to pay or use points?
-call and make hotel reservation in Richmond VA in two months
-Do reading for webinar tonight

Not altogether a successful day. I need more steps, didn't get to the reading material and didn't get to the hotel rooms. I didn't get the meatloaf out of the freezer until after the vet visit - dh snapped at me earlier when I asked if he was going out with friends tonight and he didn't let me know until we were on the way to the vet.

conversation with DH
DH - today is my granpa's birthday
Me - Really? It isn't showing up on our birthday calendar
DH - Yes. It is April 7th.
Me - pause....gentle asking....you know it isn't April, right?
DH - Oh
Me - and it isn't the 7th
DH - Oh

I need to stop doing this and just let these types of things go without bringing his lack of awareness to his attention. It does no good.

DH is wearing his hat sideways. I don't think he is aware. It is not a safety issue. Reminding myself to let the minor stuff go. Be kind.

Honestly, I'm not going to make it to the webinar because I'm still hanging around working on our supper. It was a bad call to take meatloaf out of freezer so late in the day. But whatever. Webinar was at p.m. And dh snapped at me when I asked him earlier if he was going out.

Cathy, I know my dh is not hearing as well as I do when I have my hearing aids in. He really needs to give into vanity and get his hearing tested.

People are posting pictures showing the empty shelves at Aldis, WM and other grocery stores. Southerns are NUTS when we are told to expect ice or snow. Over react much? Oh yeah. On the other hand, if we are told to expect a tornado, we grab a beer and go outside to watch it pass by.

We are in the 5" - 18" prediction of snow. It really doesn't matter how much because 1" of snow shuts us down.

Businesses have started posting when they will close on Friday. Most are closing at noon.

We have differing forecasts. In theory, we could just have two snow days, both the weekend. Then Monday will be the lowest temp. But some forecasts are saying we'll be unlikely to miss the "wintry mix" and ice would accumulate, causing power outages. So, even in the best scenario, it is entirely possible that roads have too much trouble the first part of next week for schools to open, and in the worst, we could be in some serious ice and outages. One model shows a once-in-a-quarter-century storm. Hoping that one is an outlier.

This is the second day in a row ds has called me from work to ask what's needed, etc. So, he's definitely hearing that the weather is a concern.

Thanks to those who mentioned dishes! I was about to forget to start the dishwasher, and I don't want to put that off until morning this time - we will need to be getting out the door.

Twins', how interesting that part of her behavior may be anxiety over a threat to her humans.

Congratulations to LadyM's dd and team!
