Re: Charles Filiger Friday @ TDD - C&C
Hello everyone!
L.Ann, that's a very successful shopping trip!
KitKat, how nice to see DGD (and DS , of course!)
Helia, sleet does not sound inspiring anyone to go outside! I hope the wedding gift site starts to cooperate.
Bama, I will confess there are some people I dont want to speak to on the phone either, so much of the time when I see their number flash up, - I dont!
WTG getting the house looking respectable, Trissie, even if it didn't last long!
Dogged, I also vote for sprinkling the contents of the capsule on favourite food. I works for Jude, and she is *very * fussy! But it does contain green lipped mussel, so smells (and probably tastes.quite fishy!
It's been a good day. My appointment went well, and I was able to park in one of the council.carparks, which wasmt.too. expensive. DH is back home, and everyone has been fed!

Re: Charles Filiger Friday @ TDD - C&C
Things to remember for tomorrow:
Let AP or MD.know my menu choices for ladies' breakfast next weekend
Text DF PM re MQ's birthday -are we going to celebrate after church next Thursday? (I'm happy to make the cake.)
Check with DH what he's doing tomorrow - he mentioned a beer festival?

Re: Charles Filiger Friday @ TDD - C&C
L.ann, those were amazing bargains! And congrats on getting all the paperwork together for your mom's taxes!
trissie, thanks for the start - and to kittykatt too - I have no knowledge of artists or art history, so this week is a learning experience.
kitkat, we had a coating of snow earlier this week, sun and cold/ wind today and starting tomorrow night, all the weather people are saying we are going to get 8-12 inches plus wind. I'm ready to hunker down, and bought a beef roast today (even tho I have lots of food in the freezer, I'm very hungry for a good old fashioned pot roast with potatoes, carrots, and onions. with ketchup! And I want to eat until I'm full. So that's my plan for tomorrow - to start it early enough that it can cook slowly until it's ready to fall apart.
Doggedly, you surely worked hard to get that pill into Germane!
Duluth, the city that is at the tip of the nose of Lake Superior, is where my dgson is going to University. They had 7 inches of snow yesterday; He's home on spring break. School starts again on Monday, but with the horrible forecast for Sunday, my son and dil will take him back Saturday. I've got a loaf of homemade rye bread, a family favorite, rising for him to take back to school. Actually 3 loaves - 1 for him, 1 for ds and dil, and 1 for me. It's 10 pm, it needs to rise at least 2 hours, then bake 30-40 minutes. I'm disappointed in my effort this time. It got very dense very quickly, so it was difficult to knead, and it is rising very slowly. Of course it's probably because I would like it to hurry, becasue I woudl like to go to bed! I didn't find out they are leaving in the morning until about 7pm, so it got a late start. It was on my list for tomorrow. I have 1 furnace vent on the floor - I set the bread pans on it and turned up my thermostat, so they should get the benefit of the heat. I hope that helps it rise. I should know by now, you can't hurry yeast bread!
dfBS was discharged from the hospital today. I picked her up, leaving home at 130 pm after doing my grocery shopping. Then of course I helped ehr get settled back into her house and put many things away, plus picking up supper for us that we shared, finally getting home around 630. Another reason I didn't start the bread until late.
MrVKM is out of state visiting his son, dil, grandsons. I am kind of feeling lonesome and looking forward for his return.
