Thanks, trissie. Germane did settle back in her bed in the bathroom, and still hasn't emerged.
That's awesome that the new steam generator is saving you work. Whatever helps!
That is kind, Kittykatt. Nothing is more helpful than advice from someone who has been living with the condition for a long time.
Enjoy the garden!
While I have been writing this, Germane emerged and claimed breakfast. I no longer feel guilty that we are on our last can of First Mate dog food, as it is sitting in her dish rejected. She ate rice soaked in bone broth, and I am cooking some fish for her in the toaster oven. LOL, she just heard the ding of the toaster oven, and she's under my feet. She'll be disappointed, as I have to flip the fish and put it back in to finish cooking.
I'm going to go ahead and post this, and come back to continue CUOP.

Howling in the night, kitkat? How does your dson handle that?
We are right back into winter. Everything is covered in snow. I'll happily take that over freezing rain, but I'm not trudging to the grocery store dragging a granny cart through that, LOL.
A trip to Hawaii, L.Ann. Sounds exciting!
We have the same kind of scam here, Kittykatt. It got very bad during the pandemic, when everybody wanted to adopt a dog while they were home, and there weren't enough cute perfect puppies to go around. I expect that the scam is still going on, but as we now have a housing shortage the scammers have moved on to taking first month's rent for housing that they don't own.
I'll be heading to the laundry room with you, Lauralind. Mine is overdue!
I need to get up and move around. Back to CUOP when I have some food.

Dogged, hoping there won't be too many people in the laundry room, given it's Saturday and not everybody was able to do laundry during the week due to the lift thing!
Bama, I am sure the French are used to their language being mispronounced! I mean... they do treat their spelling as if the letters were cheaper by the dozen!
(sorry Frenchie, but have you ever checked Haiti creole? They can say the same sentence, same pronounciation and use less than half the letters! My favourite is "eske ou vle kafe ak let" - which duolingo says is "do you want coffee" and the French would be something like "est-ce que vous voulez cafe au lait")
helia! so you'll be doing two weeks in Europe this summer? Never been to Avignon, but the song "Sur le ponte d'Avignon l'on y danse l'on y danse" is living rent-free in my head since, like, forever
6pm. I need to start thinking dinner, or have somebody start thinking dinner - DtD-K never did the cooking she was supposed to this week!

Re: Jean Pierre Serrier Saturday @ TDD - C&C
Not sure whether it's at night, Dogged... I know she'll do it during my DDIL's Zoom meetings...
helia Those ARE steep prices!
we have a bit of sunshine but cold, cold winds! Sounds like a lovely trip planned.
Kittykatt - that is a scary story .
trissie I've been ready for a while now... This is miserable. I don't ask for much: 5 C with no wind would be fine.
Hi Lauralind!
Bama yay for a nap. I've been wanting one...
Back from gym:) having (another) coffee... Will get us ready to go for store walk after lunch. (unless winds die down...)
In the meanwhile, I'll give myself permission to finish my book.

LOL, you are not wrong, trissie. We do love our letters in French and once we start adding vowels we just keep going...
The best description that I have heard of for English, is "English is what you get when Vikings learn Latin and start shouting at Germans who shout back in French." [Indians and Greeks standing off to one side saying "Excuse me..."]
Thanks, trissie. I expect to find free washing machines on one of the floors.
Enjoy your store walk, kitkat. I have pretty much decided to give up the car to ice jail for the next week or so. There is now an insulating layer of snow on top of the block of ice, and the snow brushes are inside the car, LOL.
How frustrating to go through all of the steps to choose the gift and for the cart to fail, helia. I usually change browsers when that happens, as it sometimes helps.
Good idea to get your taxes done early.
I'm with you, Bama. When I worked in offices, I had a simple rule for new clothes: You go in the regular wash with everyone else. If you come out wrinkled, you go straight back in the laundry basket. If you come out wrinkled again, you go in the Donate box.
I decided to use up some of Germane's bone broth in my rice, as she's not getting through it fast enough. I had fun going through the panty and throwing in 1/4 cup of everything I found. There's a little rice in there with the lentils, beans, quinoa, etc.
I'm up to the end of Page 2. Time to get up!

Re: Jean Pierre Serrier Saturday @ TDD - C&C
Facts, Dogged! (re wrinkled laundry, who thought linen, crepe, silk were good for clothing, comfort and ease were not in the equation)
I think we got bored and said let’s use one word to mean all sorts of different things, maybe spell it different, or not, on a whim.
Letting lotion soak in before I get fully dressed. Need to find sils house key she gave me last week. Or I’m in trouble. And then I guess we are otd. Dreading the long drive, about an hour and a half. Deep breath and jumping in.

Re: Jean Pierre Serrier Saturday @ TDD - C&C
Well now... my day is going.. good I suppose. Edited completely. But not as busy as I thought so far. Everything turned around for order. I posted. Texted something to dd about plans .. dad called. Not wanting to come to town. Needed onions for something he was making. OK... I can do that. These need something trips are the easy end of help. A few minutes later dd called. Talked for a while... totally skipped shower..
Laundry is going. Music prep is basically done. Grabbed a couple things from the store and dad had company so quick visit.
I need to eat something and get on with the declutter. Took the top blanket from the guest room. Next is sheets.
Meanwhile the kitchen is delegated to ds. 9 baguette loves are in the oven.. he's getting pretty good at bread of all sorts. But that mess is his
Priority list
Kitchen clean
Declutter craft room a little
Move some of ds stuff out of guest room
Wash bedding from master bedroom
Guest room
Freshen craft room bed
Some qt and counseling homework
Music prep on piano for tomorrow
Test out flute part of the choral music
Today's tada list
Find food
Switch laundry again
Get sheets for next load
Try a 15 in spare rooms
Talk to dad
Talk to dd
Fold laundry switch other load
Music prep
Run out to dad's
More Music prep
