hello d twins. ooo i love cheese cake - I think you can ship a piece to my home???
((we have to wait until we are ready))). much love to you!
it's so cool that you did a DNA test on your sweet dog! what color is Muffin?
Makes so much sense d lady. I agree with d twins - you are a good instinctive teacher. (a natural)
hi d harmony.
I agree:
it means something important to you.
I find this 'stepping back' almost harder to do than to go help.
Oh I agree! I find that hard too
I hope you find a picture of the schoolhouse! hope you enjoyed the rabbit hole though. Sometimes it's just so fun!

I have walked dog.
Lovely day outside here.
It is time for a bit more writing.
I think we are having a new moon this weekend.
Kitchen sinks got cleaned today.
Finished up two small bags.
Swept the deck.

We got a load of topsoil this afternoon. We have a place in the back yard which has sunk a bit so he filled in that area. With the rest, he topped off the place where I used to have a raised vegetable garden. It was too big for me to manage now so I haven't used it in a couple years. We've taken out the old rotted perimeter boards and the plastic that was underneath. He'd used the dirt that was there to start leveling that place in the back yard. Now it is back up to level or a bit more to allow for compaction. We left 1/3 of it for me to grow the few things I really want to grow. It's a manageable size now.
I helped with some of the raking and leveling.
Now maybe I can grow some tomatoes and peppers and maybe some green beans, all things I've had good luck with occasionally. The dirt that was there was sub-par which made it hard to grow things easily.

Just the thought of good dirt and garden plans puts me in a happy place.
The kids wanted to put up the Christmas tree tonight so they teamed up to do that. DS12 is really becoming good at doing things. He did 95% of getting the tree out of storage and assembling it. I just monitored the process and slowed him down a bit. Once the tree was up then DD9 put on Christmas music and they both decorated it. I think they will have good memories of doing this together.
I've given DD9 a bath and washed her hair tonight. I'm still flunking at having a good routine for this. DD9 hates taking a bath or shower and is resisting any routine to do it regularly. This is an area where peer pressure would help. If DD9 was around her friends they would be telling her that she stinks. Because C19 we are isolated so DD9 only talks to her friends and they can't smell her. I keep hoping this resistance to bath/showers will resolve itself without an all-out daily battle between me and DD9.

LadyM, dgd5 LOVES to take a bath, but she doesn’t get one EVERY night. Every-other-night is the plan, but if ddil is working and ds is in charge, it’s anyone’s guess.
Dgs8 HATES to take a bath and hates washing his hair even more, and sometimes I am embarrassed to think what state they must show up in when they get to school.
Shaking my head...
I have no ta-das for today.

Yet.
Who knows where I’ll end up before midnight?
I did help Dh with his towel/underwear laundry marathon, and I colored my hair. Cooked supper. S/s the kitchen and kept dgd for a couple hours.
I hope no one was offended by my post last night!
Aside from the rest of it, I’d love to know what y’all think — and Harriet’s dd’s thoughts — on those prints. Frome.com
