Trissie, I need to tell you taht I loved the title today!
The Nh had a picnic and an older restored car "roll in" planned for today. It rained and the wind blew, just as it was time to go outside :(
so plans had to be changed. They had a music group - polka band - that played too.
Mother had not slept last night, but I got her to eat supper, and we all (staff and myself) worked to get her to bed early tonight.
After 5 hours with her, I am exhausted and ready for bed.
Oh, before I left home, I baked some choc chip cookies to give the staff to say thank you for giving her such good care, and to recognize that it is difficult when she refuses to go to bed.
(One night when she was confused she thought her toothbrush wasn't hers, and when I put toothpaste on it she commented that I was going to make her contaminate her mouth  )
Goodnight, I'm going to bed early myself.

Gma, what nice events and back up plans. Polka reminds me of Lawrence Welk. My daunt would watch him every Saturday night.

Doggedly, I had a chicken sandwich too! 👯 more twinning.
My senior cat does the same thing, stands beside me or lays beneath my feet and then I move and he gets stepped on. Although now he silently poops behind me which has trained me to be more cautious where I step.

Kittykatt, why are they so stubborn when we are trying to help. My senior dog was like that before he passed, he would lay on couch pillows or throws that fell off so I thought I’d be smart and get him his own. He wouldn’t touch it. Even when he couldn’t walk without help he preferred the hard concrete. I think he enjoyed the coolness but his joints had to ache from the hard surface. Freddie has a lot of life left in him.

Helia, your guests are very fortunate that you are so thoughtful.

LAnn, grands are always on call.

I didn’t do much since my last post. Dh got home, he’s sick, thinks he got a bug at the doctors office, talk about job security. We went and got groceries, stopped on the way home for fast food (I promise I had good intentions and a home cooked meal in mind when we left), put away groceries, and watched Big Brother. Now he’s asleep and I’m watching people look for a home in the Netherlands and seeing if they agree with my pick.
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥
